Did you not watch the video that Liz Cheney showed during the testimony yesterday to rebuff this false talking point? He was in the presidential suburban. Not the limo. Credible reporters have already covered this, and three things are actually true:

-He was in the Suburban
-He technically could "reach" for the steering wheel based on where he was, but it would be difficult to actually grab the wheel
-This Ortega guy who is refuting Hutchinson is not under oath, and is not secret service as much as he is a political actor and Trump loyalist despite technically having a role in the secret service at the time

So please stop spreading lies here thanks!

 

I like both versions. The Jeff Bridges version is probably a better movie but I still like the John Wayne version as well.

Also Kim Darby and Hailey Steinfeld were each amazing in their portrayal of the same role.

I don't believe Trump himself would have done anything. But his talk, unwillingness to try and stop violence ahead of time, during, and for hours after, does show it wasn't a priority or goal for him.

He knew about probable voliolence days before it happened. He knew about it as it happened. Trump knew about it and was asked to stop it by his daughter and by others for hours and refused.

 

That IS actuality. Hutchinson's testimony and the surrounding evidence give us some info into Trump's state of mind. It is legal trouble for Trump but still a huge huddle for prosecutor. In the public sphere, it's very damning. Know that Trump does not believe he will be held criminally accountable, but public opinion might be as deadly to him (or his ego) and the MAGA crowd.

What Trump could have would have... yea, ok, whatever. Those didn't happen and we can't use those guesses or assumptions to get into his state of mind.

A few weeks ago I'd agree with you, and still mostly do. However the more evidence that is coming out linking the Proud Boys, and Oathkeepers directly to Trump, Bannon, Stone, Flynn, etc. the more I keep an open mind to what might be still left to be uncovered. However its a theory at this point, and we should leave the tin foil hats to the right wingnuts.

I think it's best to start by just simply finding out what the hell happened at the Willard hotel, and having the DOJ actually investigate those guys instead of being so timid, and afraid of the veil threats. If you are Garland, it's coming your way regardless... just do your job, and realize you cannot be an accomplice by sitting the sidelines because you know they can make a case in court with executive privilege, or article 2 BS.

2. The witness didn't claim that it did happen.

3. I never saw any journalist claim that part was the smoking gun.

Nothing on the knowledge by Trump and his team that violence was likely on the sixth, days before.

The video Liz Cheney showed with Trump after the speech that he was getting in and driving off in was THE PRESIDENTIAL SUBURBAN. In THE SUBURBAN it has been clarified that he could be within grabbing distance of the wheel even though it's still not right close to him as it might be if you were in the passenger seat.

So this is a giant distraction attempt I'm sure but look... a lie is a lie, and sorry bud... you are lying here or at the very least having a hard time comprehending things like pictures and video, etc.
