I guess it will get worse as Tucker and Hannity have to compete with ever-kookier people at OAN and Newsmax and maybe Trump or Q TV.

"Nasty, brutish, and short," they said of human lives, without a social contract. Yeah, pretty much. Yikes.

It's hard to watch the GOP people who know better take a chance to reverse course and just say "nah, that looks too hard. And I want to keep my jerb."

I got a bad feeling that with the lack of accountability and much of the GOP doubling down on defending Trump and even elevating people like Greene we're going to see more violence.

Don't senators have immunity while in office?

    Oh I ask because I don't know.
Here they have immunity that needs a vote in the parliament to be revoked.

That's why in the face of such coups and insurrections you can't expect corrupt politicians and perhaps compromised justices to do it for you, the people have to take the streets with protests to force it themselves.

The immunity's purpose is to protect politicians from being dragged to courts by their political enemies for anyone little thing and bogus claims.
That's where the term sycophant stems from.

Strange that in america you can sue your senator for anything you want ..? and it hasn't been already abused.

We’ve run the experiment now even though the answer was obvious: Violence is the logical endpoint of coddling extremism and anti-fact thinking.

still crazy to me how these sorts of people desire to kill others so badly, and it doesn’t even faze them...they really view Democrats/liberals as subhuman or enemy combatants like they’re in Iraq

Or like the days of slavery when lynching was a just punishment for a slave who dared to defy their orders. Sick and disturbing God loving Christians. Go to church then come home and beat a slave and not blink an eye.

In the US the Constitution does grant immunity for members of Congress in regard for legislative actions. This doesn't mean that they are immune from prosecution while in office and members of Congress have been charged, indicted and even convicted.
