It may not be a perfect comparison...but to me. Mobley is much closer Qi, Wood, Capela...than he is AD or Embiid.
Qi, Wood and Capela are NOTHING ALIKE. All 3 have completely different games You are a bonafide troll. Stop with the stupidity.
My point is Mobley is not worth the #2 overall pick. You can find centers lower in the draft...that can give you 90% of what Mobley gives you.
Hasheen Thabeet was considered a unicorn talent. I've seen too many centers that look good in college and then get to the NBA and flop. If a center has a limited offensive skill set..i'd pass at #2 pick. Mobley may turn out to be a good player...but he's not #2 pick material...too many questions about his motivation and too big of a project. Mobley is the riskiest player to draft in the top 5. The #2 pick to me should be NBA ready. Jalen Green's skills will translate much better to the NBA...his quick first step and his ability to take contact and finish at the basket will make him difficult to guard for other teams.
it's very hard seeing Jalen Green becoming a bust....his speed and athleticism will make him hard to guard from day one. Mobley on the other hand..has a lot more things to fix in his game. But what puts Jalen Green above Mobley for me...is his ability to take over a game. Jalen Green can get HOT quick...and that's what you want from a superstar. Mobley disappears for long stretches and that concerns me. Mobley is unselfish to a fault...it's almost like he's afraid to shoot....while Green is super aggressive and not shy about shooting.
He was draft in hopes he would turn into that. https://newarena.com/nba/ranked-the-20-best-unicorns-in-nba-history/11/
Village idiot AND a troll. That wasn't a serious question right? Wiseman was drafted 2nd overall last draft. Hint: Wiseman was NOT a Unicorn.
https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/...en-green-debate-rages-combine-causes-changes/ 1. Pistons - Cade Cunningham, PG, Oklahoma State Despite the Pistons insisting they'll explore all options, there's almost a 100 percent chance that Cunningham, a point guard in a power forward's body, will be the top selection next month. Don't be fooled by Cunningham's relatively low assist average -- that should dramatically increase when he gets better players around him at the NBA level. The Pistons will be ecstatic to get a crown jewel like Cunningham to place around their other young pieces and help speed up their rebuild. 2. Rockets - Evan Mobley, C, USC Sure, there is some positional redundancy with Christian Wood in Houston, but the Rockets are in no position to pass up a talent like Mobley based on those factors. I've bumped Mobley up in this mock based on some conversations with scouts who say that Mobley is more akin to a 7-foot wing than a big given his versatility on both sides of the ball, which presents all sorts of lineup options for the Rockets moving forward. 3. Cavs - Jalen Green, SG, G League Ignite Green is perhaps the most predictable prospect in the draft in the sense that you know pretty much exactly what you're getting. He's a superior athlete who's been a prolific scorer at every level at which he's ever played. Mobley might be a better fit given the Cavs' existing backcourt of Darius Garland and Collin Sexton, but if he's gone then there's no reason that Green, at 6-5, couldn't slot alongside both of them in the modern NBA. 4. Raptors - Jalen Suggs, PG, Gonzaga 5. Magic - Scottie Barnes, SF, Florida State 6. Thunder - Jonathan Kuminga, SF, G League Ignite 7. Warriors - Moses Moody, SG, Arkansas 8. Magic - Davion Mitchell, PG, Baylor 9. Kings - Keon Johnson, SG, Tennessee 10. Pelicans - Corey Kispert, SF, Gonzaga 11. Hornets - James Bouknight, SG, UConn 12. Spurs - Ziaire Williams, SG, Stanford 13. Pacers - Franz Wagner, SF, Michigan 14. Warriors - Chris Duarte, SG, Oregon 15. Wizards - Jalen Johnson, SF, Duke 16. Thunder - Jaden Springer, PG, Tennessee 17. Grizzlies - Usman Garuba, PF, Spain 18. Thunder - Kai Jones, PF, Texas 19. Knicks - Trey Murphy III, SG, Virginia 20. Hawks - Tre Mann, PG, Florida 21. Knicks - Isaiah Jackson, PF, Kentucky 22. Lakers - Jared Butler, PG, Baylor 23. Rockets - Alperen Sengun, C, Turkey Sengun didn't play against the best competition this season in Turkey due to COVID and passport issues, but the Rockets would gladly take the versatile center prospect at this stage in the draft. He's a polished low-post scorer who has shown tremendous playmaking potential, and he possesses a rare combination of skill and toughness. He'll need time, but the Rockets don't mind waiting. 24. Rockets - Sharife Cooper, PG, Auburn Cooper is one of the most dazzling playmakers in the draft, with elite passing potential at the next level. He's constantly putting pressure on the defense in transition and is a whiz in the pick-and-roll. His small stature and lack of shooting thus far in his career raise some flags, but he's well worth a flier for Houston. 25. Clippers - Ayo Dosunmu, SG, Illinois 26. Nuggets - Cameron Thomas, SG, LSU 27. Nets - Miles McBride, PG, West Virginia 28. Sixers - Josh Christopher, SG, Arizona State 29. Suns - Greg Brown, PF, Texas 30. Jazz - Nah’Shon Hyland, PG, VCU
Thabeet isn't even on the list you linked... Thabeet was never a unicorn, he was a pure shot blocking big and he had no actual skills outside of being really long and tall.
