And some people wanted Chris Bosh !!! FRICKEN SHAME ON YOU !!!! Scola is a great player as a lead dog, or as a role player, that is SOOOO hard to find. VIVA SCOLA !!! DD
The Miami Heat beatguy.... @IraHeatBeat: Clearly the Heat needs to get Luis Scola, so it can say it has the Big Four. When it comes to FIBA, Argentina's Scola in his own universe.
ahh the sweet smell of excuses lol  splitter = oberto jr. brasilian coach chewing out splitter on bench was hilarious, expect Pops to give him more of the same Scola > Splatter
They would probably now realize that they would get the same efficient play for about $10 million a year less !!! DD
I'm glad I randomly tuned into that game. I haven't watched a lot of the tournament, even USA games. It's hard to draw conclusions from only watching a half a game but it looks like Scola has improved his ability to shoot off the dribble. He even hit a fadeaway of sorts with Varejao right up on him.
Scola hit beast mode and never looked back. Feel bad for Brazil, they have a very good team (and brighter future than their rivals at least) and they were helpless against Scola.
@jadande: If you're the Spurs watching this game, wouldn't you rather have kept Scola and traded rights to Splitter?
Bring in Prigioni to feed beast mode Scola on the Rockets. A 5yr fully non-guaranteeed contract to maximise a signing bonus can beef up the Rockets's remaining MLE.
LOL - Scola rox, he is a monster, it is rare when a player can be successful as both the focal point and as a role player. A guy who plays hard either way, is willing to subjegate himself for the good of the team. Man, we are VERY VERY lucky to have him. I hope they go far in the Worlds......and with this game, he is over 30ppg .....amazing. DD
