Brilliant! Let's get both Oden and Roy and sign them to long term extensions. We can try the T-Mac and Yao experiment for 5 more seasons with another injured C and swingmen. It's going to work eventually.

sigh, I believe roy's knee is the reason wht DM didn't go after him in the first place right, I can't remember exactly where and when I saw it, but I definitely have seen someone on this forum say it.

Too bad for Portland, at least we still have a lot of good talent....

This has to be the worse trade idea in a long time. Was there any thought put into this? Brandon Roy is not going to be an impact player any longer. You need cartilage in your knees, otherwise your playing with bones rubbing against each other. You cant walk, let alone play basketball that way for very long.

Lol looks like the Andre Miller signing last year is somewhat working out for the Blazers.

I hate to see a player like Roy's career get cut short due to injuries. This guy has superstar talent and heart. If he and and Oden didnt have bad knees, this team would definitely be a competitor with the talent they have on the team.

BTW.. clearly the OP is being sarcastic! Cant you guys take a joke?

What? We had Tmac and Yao's careers cut short....while I don't like it on a personal level.....I feel every team is due some of the same crap the Rockets have gone through.

Sad to see Roy at this crossroads of his career. He was such a great player who is looking at the end of his career at a very young age.

No absolutely no, the guy is injured and no body knows his status, trading Brooks and Martin for him is just ridiculous.

And after that trade, maybe we can dump Scola for T-Mac!

IMO, i'd rather the Rockets focus on players like Iguodala or Jackson. More attainability.

This times 1000000, I always chuckle when the guys on clutchfans says "awwww that team is so unlucky" in unison, we go for the Houston Cripples!

    About time I say.

Why would he stay? Matthews took his back up spot and is doing quite well in place of Roy.

Yeah I know your sentiment buddy and i concur. let's curse every franchise player to have a season ending injury so we may get a championship.

just kidding, but since we have gone through all the **** we've gone through, i can't help but wonder if we'd had a better way of protecting the athletes which are giving us entertainment..........

Dude, link something to support such a bold claim. I would not take Roy but Oden by 2012 should be good to go.

This club does not need another lemon. Houston has a few players held together by zip ties and bandaids. Not another one please.
