Brandon Roy will miss the next two games with soreness in his left knee. The knee has deteriorated to the point where Roy will struggle to reclaim his All-Star level of play.

“There’s no real hope of it improving,” one league source with direct knowledge of the medical prognosis told Yahoo! Sports on Wednesday. “It’s just about trying to manage it now. He’s not going to be the franchise superstar that [Portland] thought he would be. This isn’t something they consider ‘fixable.’ ”

GM Rich Cho held internal discussions on whether they might include Roy in trade proposals, according to sources.

Even though he is injured right now, I would love to have Roy on this team. If Blazers are actually shopping him, Morey should attack. He is a solid upgrade over Martin and not a bad contract either.

You deserve to get banned for suggesting this AND offering Martin and Brooks in the deal. SMH.

You would like to trade for Brandon Roy the player from the past. He is not coming back, not without cartilage in both knees.

Could you imagine if we actually pulled of that draft day deal? We probably wouldn't have even gotten a single season out him. His legs would have probably fallen off during training camp.

This article was in reference to trading for Chris Paul. I don't think there will be any takers for Roy and his max deal.

Are you crazy? or a Portland fan?

No way we take on another injured guy. Tell Roy to line up.

Nobody wants damaged goods that can't be fixed. Roy's gonna be about as useless as a flashlight with no batteries in the dark. Absolute shame.

    Comedy.

Roy will be out of the league within 4 years. His knees won't hold up.
I believe the only way is microfracture surgery. And let's be serious now...
We all know that spells "the end" unless you're name is Amare.

Hes gonna be like Penny Hardaway. Awesome and one of the best players of this current last few seasons, but will be forgotten after this injury. He has no knees, and even if he does come back he'll only be a shooter

It will spell the end for Amare too. Microfracture surgery is just a temporary fix
