Doesn't DeJuan Blair suffer from the same thing?

I love Roy's game but this is the killer for him and Portland.

That's unfortunate. He is one of my favorite players.

I wonder if he could become the first NBA player to play after bilateral total knee replacements. Or maybe Advanced Biologics Corporation can grow him some new menisci. Otherwise, that bone-on-bone business will end his career.

That sucks. He's a smart player, and he'll adapt.

    That's really awful....

I think if he has MFS knee surgery, he will look even slower.

Sucks big time, probably one of the most fun players to watch. We will probably never see the true Brandon Roy anymore or at least on a regular basis.

There are a couple of procedures for this, one is that microfracture option we all know so well, and the other is where they take a piece of the cartlidge, grow some of it in a pitri dish and then insert it back into the knee.

I have a good friend who had that done due to the same situation and he is now fine......but admittadly he is not an NBA level athlete.

Boy did we Dodge a bullet.

Imagine if we did end up Roy instead of Battier. Roy would be on our books for a max contract with no help of ever really being healthy again

Is that really different from Tracy's situation? Either or, we would've suffered for it either way.

With our luck as a team, he would not even be playing right now.

very unfortunate to see injuries derail a great player's career. hopefully roy can at least play 4-5 more productive years, which may be pushing it.

    bone-to-bone sounds scary.

You are confusing their conditions: Blair has no ACL, Roy has no meniscus, and Tracy has no penis.
