Can you though? I don't necessarily think so. I'm not sold that his shot creation abilities are going to work out. Maybe he can be an off-the-ball star like Klay Thompson, but those guys are very rare.
Brandon Miller is damn good. His versatility easily translates to the NBA who is already a sniper with good size and length. It’s the off court bs that’s hanging over his head and how much someone wants to take that into consideration
He's obviously the second best prospect. I like his game better than Wemby's and he's doing that with less praise/hype and more stress.
is he though? It's obvious he's better than Scoot? I can see somebody feeling like it's debatable, but obvious? It's not obvious to me.
I think he will be a good pro, but not a star. If we don’t get pick 1 or 2, I’m looking to trade. Maybe 3, KPJ, KJM, and 1 net pick and 1 swap for Bridges. This would allow the Nets to tank for a couple of years if they’re interested.
The Rockets need Scoot to replace the other Scoot and run the team. Outside of the Rockets, if another team gets the #2 pick they will regret not taking him.
Patently untrue, go watch footage of Miller. He's not an explosive jumper and does not have a quick first step.
No it’s definitely true. I don’t need you tell me to watch footage on anything. I’ve watched him all year
He gets very little elevation and I'm not impressed at all with his ability to get by other players. He hasn't even been that efficient at creating his own shot in college; he may be relegated to a spot-up shooter in the NBA. He'd be a big gamble because he's going to need to be much craftier than he is right now to continue to be a shot creator in the NBA. I just don't see the supposedly elite athleticism at all. He's scoring at a high volume because he's a good shooter and he's taller and longer than most of the competition in college, but his length won't play up as well in the NBA where the average player is taller. Don't get me wrong, I think he's going to be a valuable player on the basis of his shooting alone, I just don't see all-star as he is right now. He will need to significantly expand his skills to reach that level. I see at least as many questions about Miller as I do for all the other guys 3-9 or so.
Anyone who has him over Scoot and Amen is on opioids. Like a slightly better Keegan Murray. Would be fine with him at 4 or 5. Absolutely not at 2 or 3.
