Hey if he’s willing to commit himself to basketball and being a good member of the community, and most importantly, if he has real remorse over the life of that girl that was ended and any indirect impact he may have had…because we are talking about a human being that was murdered, then maybe I’d consider drafting him. But if this kid is another immature, self entitled problem child, I’d say we don’t need a guy like that on this team.
Failed him in what way? Other than the pat down thing what else has he done since the shooting? I haven't been keeping up so what have I missed?
Watching his game, I don't think the stuff he's doing at the college level is going to translate as well to the NBA as some think it is. He hardly gets any elevation on his jump shot, and his first step and lateral quickness are enough against college players, but I'm not so sure they're going to translate against NBA defenses. On the occasions when he goes up against tall, athletic players under the rim (which will be all the time in the NBA) he struggles to finish. The length and athleticism in the NBA are really going to cause him problems.
‘yeah, but’ … reasonable line of inquiry. Not this young man but better to deny a successful first year coach for who knows Frankly, I do. For one, I’d say if trouble is brewing and thus a gun is needed then trouble needs to be avoided and not met ‘dead on’. Let this talent take his talent elsewhere.
This dude was way too involved in all of this and way too tight with the suspect. I don't know whether Miller committed any crime, but it's a bad look. I wouldn't want to be the organization that drafted this guy.
His lawyer has likely advised him not to speak on the matter, but he needs to be expressing remorse and empathy for the family of Jamea Harris. He played a significant part in her death and her child will never get their mom back. Furthermore that pre game pat down move was bush league and absolutely classless. It’s doubtful he goes top 3 without rehabilitating his image between now and the draft… yet it’s hard to see him falling past 6 or 7 with his immense talent.
More than smoke with Miller...No way I'm spending # 3 on him. If we're picking at 3 or 4, I'd rather slide back a couple of spots, and take Walker.
He’s very talented and you can tell him game will translate well to the NBA. I think all the facts need to come out about the death of that young girl. If he he contributed in any way to her death or wasn’t truthful in the investigation in any way, I don’t want him. Did they confirm whether or not he brought that dude the gun, or knew the gun was in his car, or anything remotely like that. I find it hard to believe that he didn’t know his buddy had a gun.
