Hellva nice surprise!! Word in Chicago is that they'll be going after Mario Williams now since they got their #1 WR via trade.
Very peculiar trade, considering they are trying to sign Manning. Maybe this frees up some room for the Dolphins to sign wayne\garcon to further entice Manning.
I would've given up 2 3rd's as the Texans to get Marshall. Then we could've used to 1st round pick to replace some of the guys we cut.
Very nice for the Bears. Cutler was on fire last season until that injury. Even then, I give him props for trying to make the tackle.
Didn't Miami give up a lot more to get Marshall a couple of years ago? Why are they selling so cheap?
From what they are saying on the radio it's because the Fins are clearing out space for Manning who also might not have wanted to play with Marshall because of his previous attitude issues.
For real that's crazy!? Trying to clear cap space for Peyton? Isn't Marshall coming off of a pro bowl season? With crappy QB play in Miami?
It was two 2nd rounders going out for Marshall, so getting back two 3rds isn't that bad as well as $10MM off the books.
I already like the new direction Phil Emry is taking the Bears in..first we pull off a steal for Brandon Marshall, then we pick up a decent backup starting QB in Jason Campbell. Word has it we're going after either a 2nd wideout now or trying to squeeze into the Mario Williams talks (Bills might just blow everyone else out with $$) or pull an addition to the D-line. Frankly I want some O-line help but I support the decisions made so far and have faith in future ones.
