arguing with Cat is like beating your head against a brick wall boys. I should know. He's too bitter to ever admit a mistake made by his team and when you make a statement about it he demands all sort of proof like Pro Sports teams are supposed to actually make official remarks about ****-ups they made.
Look I'm bummed the Texans missed out on VInce YOung too, it really sucks. But going out of your way to belittle his accomplishments and then predicting gloom and doom for the Titans, while claiming you're not jealous at all with "SEE HOW MUCH I DON'T CARE, EVERYBODY LOOK AT HOW LITTLE I CARE" posts makes you look like a complete dumbass. Just suffer in silence, please. PS, I don't want your signature since I don't really care that much about the NFL, though I'll watch the Titans when they're on tv.
I didn't realize I ever claimed the Texans didn't make a mistake. Of course, actually arguing based on the merits would go against everything you've ever done on this BBS. Pretty much, make character attacks on people you don't like, make blanket generalizations that generally can't be proven wrong, and when called on it, give a quick one-liner that will make people laugh and divert attention from the subject. Seen it all before.
When did I belittle his accomplishments? When did I say I didn't care? I'm not the only one with doubts on the Titans for this upcoming season; I'll tell you that much. In any event, if you want me to suffer in silence, how about this: I'll never post on this BBS again if the Titans finish above .500 in 2007. Sound good? Vince is a hell of a player. He deserved ROY. He brought my favorite team, the University of Texas, to the national championship. I love the guy. But he's not perfect, and his team suffered significant losses during the offseason that make a lot of people skeptical about their future, at least at this point. They also had several fortunate events go their way last season (none related to VY) that are somewhat unlikely to go their way again. I don't have anything against Vince; I'm a UT fan and I was at both of his Rose Bowls. I didn't realize that predicting anything but multiple Super Bowls for Tennessee equated to being a dumbass. (by the way, if you don't really care about the NFL, I'm not sure how you can profess to know enough to call people dumbass based on their analysis. seems a little strange.)
You guys are a riot. Just last week, one of y'all in the Texans forum (forgot who, but one of the chatters) made a joke about my constant negativity... now I'm a homer? Talk about whining for the sake of whining... geez.
sort of like VY fans who supposedly don't care about the Texans anymore constantly interjecting in Texans threads with their "OMG! The Texans made a HUGE mistake by passing on VY" posts?
He's actually one of the Titans best wideouts. Yep, the Titans, talent wise, are that bad. There is no Andre Johnson on the Titans.
Look...it's enough with the VY stuff. I agree. And I love the guy. But having said that, I don't recall anyone saying anything about DC that even resembles this. We had heard rumblings that Kubiak's staff was shocked with how little time DC spent around the team...that he took films home to watch them instead of putting in time with coaches. Then we heard Dunta's comments followed closely by Moulds' comments. Carr may be a swell guy with a lot of talent. But no one heaped praise on him for work ethic and ability to inspire teammates. It's interesting to me that you're already hearing those things about Schaub, however. That folks in Atlanta were saying they've lost a leader on their team with his trade to Houston. That folks in Houston are saying he's the first to practice and the first to leave. That sets a tone. Some might say that's worthless. But I disagree entirely.

wow those are some very strong statements. i read on espn that the titans may have taken a turn for the worse. i guess we will have to see how the new guys step in. will be interesting. so 9-7 is all they need for you to stop posting...
When you were already the most fortunate team in football (thus due for a slight slide anyway), going 8-8 despite being outscored by 76 points, and you lose a 1,200 yard rusher, your top wideout and your top defender/special teams player on top of it, you're going to have some issues. Honestly, I'd be completely shocked if they win more than six games. Stunned. I only said a winning record because the stakes were a little higher. I like Vince... have his jersey... all that good stuff... but that's not a good football team, and it's really easy to see it. It's a pretty drastic turn...
remember, they started the season 0-4...before VY took over as QB. i don't know how they'll do in the draft...or who else they'll grab in free agency or via trade to help out. i do think the texans will beat them AT LEAST once this season.
