i'd imagine the yr overseas added a professional element to his game that a dominant freshman yr could not have. Talent takes care if itself - "or you got it or you don't got it". BTW, being humbled like he was in Europe was standard operation for college freshman a few decades ago.
i disagree. i think one big lesson he got from europe was that it put him in his place. he wasn't the star and he learned to suck it up. i think it gave him more motivation to excel. sure he is a bit cocky now but imagine if he played college ball where he would have been the superstar and showered with praise and slutty sorority girls.
I want to go back to college. By the way, I'm calling it now: Jennings will average 45 ppg in a season. I'll bump this thread in a couple years.
Man I am stupid. I left my grandma house because I wanted to see him play a little. So I decided I'd watch him until halftime. Then I left the house to find out he scored 45 points in the 2nd half.
Jennings and Joe Alexander remind you of how much a crap shoot the NBA draft is. Alexander looks to be a dud coming out of a strong draft and Jennings looks as good as Rose coming from a weak draft class. I thought he was a young, brash 20 year old that would ride the bench for a couple of years before he could make an impact in the league but he looks to be ready. Also, looks like the Bucks made the right decision in letting Sessions go, having him still on the team would have hindered Jennings fast start and development.
I recall someone saying how even though he wasn't playing a lot, that he was one of the few young kids who was good at learning from the bench....from watching the game. I can see how playing against professionals at a higher level is better for you then playing against college kids when you are more talented than 90% of them, as a lot of these 1 and done's are.
Man, he really exploded all over the face of the Warriors, didn't he? Of course, their complete lack of organization and defense could've helped him.
Is it finally time point guards rule the NBA? Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Derrick Rose, Brandon Jennings, Tyreke Evans, John Wall?
WOWWWWWWWWWW When I saw this on the ESPN front page: "ROOKIE SCORES 55" I was lyk totally shocked and I thought dayum it must be Brandon Jennings...I look down the page and few millimetres and to my "surprise"....it was brandon jennings... Ladies and Gentlemen, you've just witnessed history being made...Jennings will soon (if he hasn't already ) join the elite ranks of point guards among CP3 D-Will and Rondo... its funny how espn screwed this front page story up in their rankings when they went: Brandon Jennings 55 14-11-1909... seems this one brandon jennings scored 55 in his rookie year exactly one century ago..........lol
Insanity. This is a fluke game that happened against one of the worst defensive teams in the league. It was the perfect storm for jennings. I say he its much more likely he never bests his total from this game.(Much like Steve Francis in Shaq/Yao 1).
I'm a bucks fan too but I don't know any where I can download these games. Being a rocket fan is lucky as there are providers but I have difficulty finding bucks torrent. Any sites? I want to see Brandon 55 points
