The Bucks are 5-2, which puts them 1/2 game ahead of Cleveland and Orlando. This has to be one of their best starts in years. I don't see them missing the playoffs this year, unless BJ or Bogut get injured.
Amazing how much mileage AI got out of that performance. Never mind the fact that that team was coached by one of the best defensive coaches in the league, had a ton of great defensive players, played in a weak conference, got manhandled in the finals, and that AI never found basketball success after Brown left. The only fans who like AI are ignorant ones. I wish you followed him throughout his career so you could see him get 26 pts on 30 shots while playing zero defense and turning the ball over a lot
Actually, the Bucks are built similarly to that AI team. Bucks have one of the most efficient defenses in the league right now - true story, check it up. I think they're ranked #6 or #7 in defense. Might've dropped after tonights game, but then again, whose defensive rating doesn't drop after a game with the Warriors and Suns? In fact all of Jennings success is overshadowing Bogut's surprising performance this season. The dude went from 1.0 block/game to 2.0blocks/game this season, and is up in points and rebounds too. Makes me wonder if the Bucks hired new coaching personnel.
it would be interesting to hear from his european coach and teammates to see what their thoughts are regarding his progress. even though he didn't play alot in europe, i'm sure he learned alot over there cuz he was playing with real men, not boys in college.
This is just my opinion, but listening to Jennings talk about his basketball experience in Europe is almost proof it wasn't the best thing for his development. Playing 30 mins/game in college would have been much better preparation than the inconsistent minutes he got overseas playing a completely different brand of basketball than we have in America. Just because he's breaking out now doesn't prove going to Europe was best.
Griz weren't the only team to pass on him, Minny passed on him twice for 2 point guards. Most of the 9 that passed on him decided early that they didn't want him. NYK was the only team that was seriously considering him. It sounded like he might have been in free fall if he slipped past Milwaukee, which is why he skipped out on draft night.
Timberwolves need to fire somebody. They passed up twice Jennings for a player who threatened to stay in Europe. Idiots.
His point was that the Grizzlies drafted a project that may not be in the league in 3 years. The other guys are at least contributing, except for Minny. Minny shouldn't have taken Rubio's threat seriously.
Damn... I didn't expect him to be this good this soon. Even the Bucks can't screw up his career, can they?
