i think more likely is the Clippers sign Landry to try and replace brand... so we have to maybe find a way to get a sign and trade and get something from the clips.

Yep! I called this card last season. I knew that rocket management would try to play this bull!#%t card!! You know.... the belief that if our team was healthy last year we would have won it all or came close!!! "Whatever" i say to that excuse!! This team will forever and a day need a third scorer at the wing position. It don't matter if Yao comes back 100%. We still need a third scorer! We have learned that time and time again since this duo was created, that yao and t-mac are not enough. Yao goes out we can't score very well, because they double t-mac. When t-mac goes out they double Yao. No one else can consistantly create. Oh, and when they both sit out for breathers.........oh my god we are just simply pathetic!!!!!The answer has not changed! When we get a true 3rd piece, then we will make some real noise in this league.

We can't do a sign and trade with Landry. We don't have his rights,we are over the cap and the MLE or for that matter any exception can't be used for a sign and trade.

The clippers have always, and will always live in the shadow of the lakers...
It doesn't even make sense for them to have a team...
What I really hope is that, eventually the clippers completely lose fan base and then they can be moved to Seattle (after they get a new arena). Of course there are so many flaws in this idea that its not even close to plausible, but one can dream right....

honestly, i am not worried, even though they have tons of money. but they just ain't smart enough to scout a player like landry. i mean how were they able to remain irrelevant for so long.

I would figure out a way to get Okafor and get as far away from unproven money hungry Landry as soon as possible.

Atleast Okafor is consistent and worth the bucks that could strap this team.

Turiaf to the Warriors means the Lakers will be looking at Landry.

I think landry stays. I just don't see a team willing to give a sophomore more than 2.5 mill with knee issues. I do want the rockets to take care of "THE TOOTH" though because he deserves it for stepping up when he did.

Remember this little tidbit from CBS?

Guard Michael Redd might be heading to Cleveland from Milwaukee, and the Lakers are talking to Sacramento for a deal involving Lamar Odom for Ron Artest and Kenny Thomas. If they fail there, the Lakers will go after Houston's Carl Landry on the free-agent market.

The Lakes have to match, or not, Turiaf and may keep the W's waiting a week til they do.

the problem the lakers will face is that they are over the LT and would have to pay double for any contracts they sign.

that means signing landry to the full MLE (almost $6M/yr) would cost almost $12M/yr

anything less than the full MLE would be a contract the rockets would most likely match.

As Texaskan has posted and what we've known for the past weeks. Landry's agent is feeding false info out there.

I seriously doubt that i believe Iverson will be in cleveland before Redd.

Denver will do a possible trade for players to atleast shed years from long term contracts. They have to move long term contracts with Iverson such as Camby at all cost. Take back Big Ben, Snow, Wally is a smart move and Iverson is the only valuable piece worth trading to do so.
