Questioner: What creature has a bushy tail, sits upright, and eats acorn?

    DD: Hmm...

Questioner: Let me give you one more hint. It runs on trees.

DD: Hmm... It sounds like a squirrel, but I know it has to be related to T-Mac!

Sorry....just get tired of the 12 year old just signed up and ooooh look at that dunk on ESPN brigade....back on topic....

I still think the coach has the right to do with Brand whatever he thinks is best for the team.

And I do think being an aging star with declining skills factors into the equation.

Many stars like Brand and others do not want to accept the physical limitations that age and injuries have thrust upon them, and it is up to the coach to do that as delicately, or as hard as he needs to, in order to help the team overall.

Problem is, the joking has become irrelevant to the annoying nature of your posts, as of late. Honestly, why would you bring a subject people are tired of (yet you continue to harp on) into a thread about Elton brand?

You're the first poster to complan when someone makes a thread about, or changes the subject to TMac, yet here you are, hijacking a thread to do it yourself.

    Come on, man.

As far as Elton goes, in the few games I've seen him play with the sixers, he doesn't seem to have so much lost his game as the Sixers just don't make a concerted effort to integrate him into the offense. I think they thought he was going to be some kind of post-up, high Fg%, PF. Problem is, Elton as always been more of a mid-range shooter. Even in his MVP-like year with Cassell, he scored mostly on jumpers.

In Philly, they have plenty of guys that take mid-range jumpers. It makes Brand more of a cog in the machine than a featured player on offense, and this less valuable, which = fewer minutes. If you notice, he still puts up decent fg%, rebounds, and blocks in the 29 minutes he's playing. Not quite what it used to be, but certainly not bad.

why all the DD hate? he's one of the best posters on here, maybe not because he has the best knowledge about basketball, but he does have an opinion and he states them for people to read, if you don't like it, then don't read em. calling him names is immature and straight-up hating. leave the man alone to post as he wishes.

    rep points DD? ;)

Though I criticized him, I do like DD. He's a cool guy and invaluable poster. He's just been a bit more annoying than usual, as of late. Like tinman when he get on his Charles Barkley kicks. This Tmac situation is killing him.

    Hahahahahahahahaha

Those that are hating on DD - you can place him on ignore if you really want.

Otherwise - stop taking it all so seriously.

There's more to basketball than spot up shooting. I was never a fan of the Miller signing from Portland's perspective, but he is undoubtedly better than Blake overall. I personally thought they should have gone after Hinrich and Battier.

From the same page you linked:
Roy is a good, but not great playmaker. Right now he's going one on five trying to score. He's doing everything he can to draw fouls. We saw it in the series against us. It was forgivable before because he never had help when it came to playmaking. But making plays is what Miller specializes in. Why not at least try to play Roy off the ball more?

Elton Brand - although the headline is "I don't accept it", he does say that he will keep playing off the bench and try to crack the line up, and that winning and having a goal for the team is the most important thing. It seems like a non-issue (for now, anyway) to me.

Tracy McGrady - as stated, it's a completely different situation. I think TMac has handled it well this season, but I am still not over his antics from last season. If I'm GM, he's gone to the highest bidder this season. If not, I trust Morey.

DaDakota - volume poster of epic proportions. Borderline spammer/troll. It's not that he was wrong about VSpan, it's not that he was wrong about Wafer. It's not that he is wrong 90% of times as he arbitrarily picks his goofball opinions. It's that he is so f***ing loud and persistent about it. A broken clock is still right 2 times a day, but broken clocks don't flood message boards with dribble. DD, just chill out, man. I do enjoy your spirit and dedication. But seriously. Try giving shutting the hell up a chance. It's not so bad.

    In conclusion,

A joke or sarcastic statement can only go so far before you start believing in it.

DD acts sarcastic when he says he is smart, but he actually does think he is a superior being amongst everyone else capable of being more wrong than everybody.

wow, you can see why Shaud would be annoyed at the direction of this thread.

Elton Brand doesn't have the same hops anymore. That's really what it comes down to. He's playing on pure skill, he just doesn't have the same explosiveness to his game and his shooting percentages have been way down these past few years.
