Yeah, it does seem like the Astros were winning quite handily. I believe the game was on ESPN and the cameras caught Alou giving it to Berkman. Essentially, Berkman hustled, he just pulled a mental rock and cost Alou that precious RBI.

on the RBI thing . .
is it as important as an Assist of more so . . .

Like . . 20 more RBIs means a couple more million come contract time
    Correct?

If someone is not hustling out an RBI I could have got
it shows up or NOT show up at the dinner table

So I would guess everyone would chew some *ss if
someone loafing cost them an RBI

RBI is certainly an important stat, but 1 RBI in a blow out game isn't going to make or break a contract. It isn't the chewing out that was the problem (at least for me). It was doing it in public and the hypocrisy of Alou being the one who did it.

Things like that should take place in the privacy of a team's locker room. In addition, if you breate a teammate for something, you better darn well not pull the same kind of bonehead play (which Alou most certainly did).

In that instance it wasn't Berkman's loafing that cost him the RBI, he simply seemed to have forgotten there were two outs. Rather than running with the crack of the bat, he waited to see if a play would be made on the ball.

Again, Berkman "deserved" to be reminded that he made a mental mistake (preferably by the manager or a coach). It just should not have been done on TV.

It probably went something like this

Kent: What do I got to do to get you to score from second on a base hit? Put a police dog on your ass??"

Bradley: Naw, Milton is a leader, Milton scored the winning run, Do not disrespect Milton.

I wish Milton would talk in rhyme again.

"If you don't know me and I don't know you,
don't approach me, and I won't approach you.
Don't insult me, and I won't insult you,
because you don't know what I will or won't do." -- Milton Bradley after verbally sparring with Paul LoDuca

    Watch out, Milton's gettin' upset!

I was not talking in this particular case
    but in general

This instance and the Kent one are similar
Should Kent have not commented on it either?

    Awesome quote by Berkman:

Lance Berkman probably received the most tense lectures or screams from Kent in Houston, and he was quick to defend the All-Star second baseman.

"I think (for Bradley) to make it a race issue is ridiculous," Berkman said. "J.K. doesn't discriminate against anybody. He ignores Latinos, blacks and whites equally."

I think this is sig worthy no?

I think that any time you think a teammate isn't hustling or is making mental mistakes, someone should talk to that player about it. It should be done professionally and in the privacy of the locker room with no reporters around. If the player has a problem with being "corrected" he should not run to the media with it. All of that sort of stuff should stay within the team.
