I thought the whole point of hiring Vogl was his expertise in coaching rim defenders? Now there is talk of trading Ayton? After the Beal trade, his hiring makes even less sense. This new owner is going to be the Dan Snyder of the NBA.
Yeah. This is why I have a feeling they will give Ayton away for cap relief (and cheaper role players). Interesting they expanded the deal to bring back Todd. Another bigger body. I imagine they will also bring back Landale. And possibly Craig as well? But it is either move Ayton, or be stuck with vet min deals going forward....

Yeah pretty much. New Warriors. Home grown/built through the draft. No big time FA signings. Next is Celtics. Basically the same except for Horford. Teams like the Suns, Lakers and Heat that are trying to short cut the process always seem to come up short.
Again, they arent in any worse situation otherwise. They still wouldve had to go to the bargain bin for role players. Ayton still can be moved. Buyout players are nice but i cant think of many if any buyout players whove made a significant difference on a championship team. Its not like they went from somewhat likely to win a ring to not likely at all just because they added Beal. And we'll see how much Beal brings to the table for them. Hes a guy who has never really had the benefit of playing next to elite scorers like Durant and Booker. Hes not going to have carte blanche like he did in Washington, but he'll be operating with more space and less attention than he has in his entire career.
Terrible and shady deal given the father son dynamic of the owner and agent involved. Wizards didn’t get anything of value and Suns did not get better. In a vacuum this is not some home run for the Suns as some make it out to be.
They won 65, and both Harden and Paul both (if advanced stats are to be believed) put up better seasons than anyone on the Suns Big 3 ever will. Also came into the year with the reigning 6MOTY and a roster stacked with switchable 3 and D wings (and Bigs if you count Clint at times). The Suns championship window closed with the selections of Josh Jackson, Dragan Bender, Marquese Chriss, and Jarrett Culver with four of their seven high lotto picks. Really shows how destructive drafting busts can be.
Final return for the Wizards for dumping Beals supermax to begin the rebuild process. 7 second round picks (24 25 26 27 27GSW 28 30) 1 protected first (2030) 4 first round swaps (24 26 28 30) Poole Shamet Todd Rollins That's not the worst possible return for a team looking to move on from an awful contract (with complete player control) and get a rebuild started. The alternative was to keep struggling through mediocrity by signing Porzy and Kuzma again. Plus (assuming they are tanking now) they almost guarantee they aren't giving their pick to NYK the next 2 years (kind of a side benefit)
What are they going to do with all those second round picks. Hoping one of them will turn into Jokic?
Fixing the subject line on this erroneous thread: Woj Breaking News: Bradley Beal given to cry baby Durant
2nd round picks are the new commodity which will replace 8th-13th man on the roster. You do not have to pay them big money. The Wiz do not look to be competitive just right now.
The Lakers went from their worst record in team history to a title in 4 years. Sure, it involved LeBron coming over, but stilll.
