Suns did what they’re supposed to. Wizards are at the mercy of Beal with his no trade clause. They’re dumb to give Beal that clause to begin with. In no way is he a player that deserves one

I just don't think he makes Phoenix any better. And I think they'll eventually have to use assets to dump his deal.

I'm not a Beal fan at all, and I'm a huge Booker fan. I don't see how Beal helps Booker one bit. This might be the most incoherent alleged super team ever made.

Law of diminishing returns applies here. No way Ayton's production comes close to his salary. Beal's won't either. It'd be nice for them if Ayton loved playing defense and rebounding.

Like I said I'm not sure if it works out or moves the needle enough. But from my perspective they just upgraded from Cp3 and Shamet to Beal. That's an upgrade, just remains to be seen if it's enough fo an upgrade.

At least with 3 of them PHX has 2 deadly scorers at all times.

You have three players that need the ball in their hands now. Granted KD is happy to take a backseat, but both Booker and Beal are at their best when they are shooting the ball. So both are volume scorers. Even if KD is willing to take a backseat, it is absolutely stupid to take shots away from such an efficient scorer.

Vogel is not creative enough offensively either.

My point is that sometimes, even if you are getting a better player back, it really doesn't mean that it works out well for the receiving team if that team already has redundant players. Beal nor Booker are great playmakers either. Sure they get assist, but not very good at playmaking, they are natural scorers. I foresee this not working out great, but I guess let's see what they are able to turn Ayton into.

They can treat Beal how they treat Landry Shamet, he basically upgrades Shamet. Regardless about fit you can't argue Beal is an upgrade over Shamet and Cp3. Co3's been real bad just look up his playoff nos he is borderline unplayable.

The Suns will better with 2 of Beal, Durant and Booker on the court at all times. All 3,, will be on the court at all times. Wonder if they have enough money left over to find a vet PG to go with Payne? I could see the Suns buying a 2nd rd pick and picking Miles or Sasser. 3 PG's.

This is a good deal for both teams, based on what their goals are.

The new Wizards GM wants to tank, he wants to get out from the Beal contract and he wants to get some assets.

Beal has 4/200 left on his deal with a full no trade, he is slowing down a bit and has some injury issues. So his actual value is basically neutral.

The Suns want to win now. They overpaid for KD when they gave up Bridges and Johnson AND Picks. The deal should have been just picks. Regardless, the Suns are hamstrung with very little options. They basically add Beal for nothing. He will help them compete and the pairing of Beal and Booker won’t be an issue. Beal isn’t hard to play with.

Now the Suns can deal Ayton for a few rotation players and make it work.

Rhe Wiz now will be be high lottery like they want.

Maybe I'm crazy but I think PHX just finessed the Wizards.

I don't know the market for Beal but i'm sure some team will prob give a better return than washed Cp3, Landry Shamet and a couple of 2nd rounders. The swaps don't even matter cuz Wizards want to tank. PHX can give them 5 swaps and most likely none of those convey. I don't think I've ever seen a star get moved for so little since pau gasol got traded for Kwame Brown. Like this is only possible because Beal's agent is the dad of PHX CEO lol.

Lots of people here just don't get the alternative to Beal is Shamet, Cp3 and 2nd rounders. Doesn't matter about fit or is it what they etc cuz I know Cp3 shooting 40% in th playoffs is NOT what they needed. If it turns into a disaster later trading Beal is still better than 39 yr old CP3. PHX will even most likely profit from this trade and get back more picks than they gave out if they decided to ship out Beal later on.

For the Wizards they basically gave Beal away for Shamet and a couple 2nd rounders. CP3 is prob gonna get bought out and join the Lakers. I don't like this trade at all for them I think they got ripped off. Are you even sure they wanna clean house are they resigning Kuzma? If so they aren't blowing it all up to begin with.

I'm stunned to why they let Cp3 go. Why not resign him? They need him

This is really a weird trade.

The Suns got an overpaid, often injured guy who doesn't fit their needs. And the Wizards gave up their franchise player for Shamet, the corpse of CP3, and a bunch of 2nd rounders.
