i know hes alot older but this is a guy that was a all star center when he played for the kings. he fits perfectly with this team and im not saying hes guna get back to all star status but i think he might suprise people and play very very well. especially with yaos minutes limited
A sizeable fish, anyway, I think. Someone who's been considered a borderline all-star at times, whose ability to get to the line so much makes Yao, as well, that much more efficient as a scorer, since DM says Yao becomes the most efficient scorer in the NBA once the Rox are in the bonus. Right? A big part of taking the Rox offense to a higher level. I think DM has talked about this a fair amount.
This DD crap is already old. If he annoys you, put him on your ignore list. Polluting threads with that stuff just makes you annoying, not him.
putting him on ignore is like Robbing Peter to pay Paul. Why should they change what they post for someone else. A young Ray Allen (Chase Budinger) is worth two in a Bosh.....
Can all of you grow up and get back on topic? Who cares about DD haters and such. Anyways, this was a great interview. I've always been a fan of the way Brad plays and I'm really happy to have him here in Houston. He definitely is going to help us and more importantly I think he is going to help mentor our big guys. I love this team.
Great interview, the guy seems to have a great personality, I like that he is somewhat mean on the court. DD (just had to )
one thing from clip that draws me attention is that brad mentioned what the core of rick's system. it is all about keeping making cuts and passing. i know most of us understand it but a few of posters here haven't grabbed it yet. they keep to say run and gun when they discuss how yao fits to the system. don't mix rick's system with suns' run and gun.
Do not make assumptions that most of the people here understand it......that is giving WAY too much credit to people with keyboards. If you play basketball in any rec league, or even in pickup games, very very few people make cuts or move without the ball. When I get on a team that plays like that, it is heaven, and we run the table for as long as our bodies hold up....you just don't lose. I can recall a few weeks ago we were playing ball, and won 7 in a row by just getting all the guys 40+ that played that way, and we killed all the young guys.....who were much much faster and quicker..... Killed them, it was fun. Screen, back cut, layup, screen back cut layup, pick and roll, pick and pop, back cut layup....it was easy pickens...... DD
"It's not about shooting the ball, it's about playing together as a team." "People will overlook us and say 'oh they don't have Yao.' Everyone in this league is about having a name. But me and those guys that are here are going to go out and play hard and have fun." Nice attitude. DD
Not only does he dominate the BBS and video games, he now dominates basketball. DD is like Chuck Norris but better.
Hardly, I just like to play ball with people who cut, and screen and play the team game...... You can teach those young whuppersnappers a thing or two. Honestly though, usually they end up yelling at each other in disbelief that they are getting their butts handed to them by a bunch of old guys. Usually though, you get a mix of players, and it is a very special day when you get a team that knows how to play the game...most of the time, you are looking for cuts and people have no idea what you are looking for.....lots of people play basketball, but very few know "how to play" basketball. DD
