Maybe you should give the guy a chance before being accusatory.....? Or do you enjoy starting racist discussions?
I posted the vid. It was just for a giggle. The video itself had little to do with posterizing, it was all about the funny spanish commentating. Heavier athletes can still look trimmer in real life, compared to the general populace. McGrady is heavier than he's been, but is still a stick figure compared the average guy. Sure hope Miller's trimmed down though. He does look slimmer.
Was this article posted somewhere else, or is this it? im just surprised it didnt get any mention in the threads or maybe i missed them
ah nevermind, i'm guessing this is what he said in the video of the press conference, nothing new..i probably should get around to watching it
Is Brad Miller the next Brent Barry? Signing Miller kind of reminds me of the Brent Barry signing. how he was expected to bring that veteran leadership and shooting to ultimately play a some what big part to the team as a back-up, but never got a rhythm to play well. He played one season then retired .
Even Morey has brought up the Brent Barry comparison. I think its a valid one. Hopefully, Miller's got a little more gas in the tank. He plays a position where quickness isn't quite as important. But if Hill or someone else outplays him, then like Barry maybe he'll be taken out of the rotation.
Barry was on the decline already in SAS. The season before he was a Rocket he also dealt with an injury, hence the reason why he played only 31 games. By the time he arrived here, he was 38, broken down, on his last legs. On the other hand, Brad Miller played 82 games last season.
i some what agree i think it depends on yao's health more than hill's or anybodies else play. You can agree Miller is the only true center after yao.
Slightly off topic but IMO Barry's performance with the Rockets looked worse than it was because of Von Wafer's offensive emergence that season. With no playing time at the backup SG spot, Barry was forced into a small forward role, something he never looked comfortable doing. Plus, the combination of Wafer and Barry on the defensive end was atrocious, but it usually made Barry look like a worse defender than he was. Barry was frequently forced out of position while having to cover for a defensive lapse by Wafer. Yes, Wafer did outplay him for the backup SG role, but that did not mean Barry could not have contributed more had he been given a chance.

For those who doubt Brad Miller, you should go find the video of the Bulls' first round playoffs games and watch them again. Miller was their second best player in the series.
