You're being ridiculous if you disagree with this point. Miller averaged about 2 assists a game last year with the pacers. He's way up this year to 4.7 and you think the offense and the better teammates don't have anything to do with it? Cmon.

You know its kind of interesting, but when I go over to the Kings BBSs I never see a person saying Miller should start over Yao, yet theres a good number of people HERE that say that.
But there sure are a lot of people EVERYWHERE that think Steve Francis shouldn't start and is overrated.

Miller is playing power foward and in no way is he better that Duncan, Garnett, Dirk, Brand, Webber. Miller an allstar is a joke.

Its not even about stats, Yao has so much more effect in a game than B.Miller will ever have.

The super powerful Brad Miller went against Tim Duncan last night and scored a mighty 6 points and grabbed a jaw dropping 8 boards and was torched by Tim for 37. Yet the Kings came out with a 96-91 victory.

After the game, Miller proudly told the reporters: "They double and triple teamed me all night and my teammates played 4 on 3 or 2 all night, thus the win."

LOL. Welcome to Yao's world, Miller. Imagine having to see those defenses everynight, except playing with boneheads on your team like Francis and Mobley...

Miller has better shooters, and he was asked to pass, Yao has been asked to shoot, not pass.

Do you even follow the game? Miller has been just inconsistent as Yao, if not worse.

Didn't the Miller-less Kings have the similar records last season, or the season before?

You just lost all the credit here if you ever had any!

You are either not aware of the team history, or haven't followed the Rockets games at all.

Have you ever heard Rockets and Defense in the same sentence before last season? I'm talking about post-title years.

You lost your credit again right here. These are the guys work for the media. Their primary job is to sale the paper, or make noise to draw bigger audience. You should never take anything from those people seriously.

    Think about this way,

Didn't Barley kiss the Donkey's Ass?
Wasn't Kerr wrong & asked for forgiveness on his pre-season prediction?
Didn't the main stream media predict Yao a bust even before they ever saw him in action?

Hey guys, I was making up those quotes.:)I watched the game last night and San Antonio was playing Miller with single coverage, and actually lots of times left him alone wide open in the high post

My point is that Miller can have a very bad game and yet his teammates can consistently bail him out, even with Duncan torching him by 37. That's the difference between the Rockets and the Kings, or the luxuary the Kings have.

BTW, Brad Miller will never see any serious double team thrown at him, never in his life unless he is determined to play for the WNBA.

That will be a totally different story though.

Right on. I really think we Rocket fans are one of a kind. I don't see fans of the other teams would scream that their star players should be traded after every single loss. Some of the so called Rocket fans here have more fun dissing our own players than anything else.

What has happened to the talent level in the NBA when Brad Miller is a serious All-star contender?

Why are you so much relying on those so called "analysts"? Do you have your own analisys and arguments? Miller is not even the biggest contributor on his own team. Peja, Bibby and BJ play bigger role in the Kings' wins. It is nosense to claim "Miller should be over Yao or Shaq." The guy has not even played the center position yet. If anything he should be talked about in the same line as Duncan, Garnet, and Nowizki. Unfortunately, he is far from what these power forwards have achieved for the season.

Here is CBS' player ranking: http://cbs.sportsline.com/nba/playerrankings/regularseason/C

In case you do not want to look it up: Yao ranks as number 1 center and Miller is not even in the list.

Being the Great White Hope (no offense to us White folks), they want to squeeze him in somehow. But where? The Forward spots are all taken and well-deserved. Why not kick Yao out if the fans don't vote him in. He's a nice guy, he won't complain.

To the guy who said he expected Yao to be 20/10 in his second year: Is Miller 20/10 in his 6th freaking year?

The only thing Miller does successfully is making opponents treat him as nobody (that he is) so he gets his rebounds and wide-open shots.

    Enough said already.

I am kinda surprised that so many people on a rockets fan bbs claimed that yao and steve don't deserve to start at the all-star game. I am a rockets fan since dream time. I am a yao fan coz he's Chinese and I really like his character. All-star game is always about show and popularity. It supposed to give those fans a fun day. If they want to start Moochie, so be it. Analysts in any area always act the same, first they want to show that they are different and superior to average Joe, then they want to control the mass population. Stats show a player's success but doesn't reflect the popularity. Not to mention the impact a player is having on own team and other teams facing them, it's just hard to measure due to lack of criteria. Shaq is the only super power in the league, but people just don't like him. Therefore, it's so normal that they want to see someone else on the only day designated to them. Yet you guys have to come up your "cool minded, rational" analyse supported with statistics. I live in Toronto, I am a raptor fan, although I am disappointed with VC's courage, but I am still very happy that ranked no. 1 in vote getters. Same thing, I can see Steve is struggling to transform his play and Yao is not aggressive enough and inconsistant, as a fan, I am very happy they start at the All-star game. It's just a game, relax, and try to enjoy it.

Actually that's because CBS ranks Miller as a PF rather than a Center.

If you look at the overall list, Miller ranks #15 while Yao ranks #38. Yao is still better than Miller though.

That was the point I was trying to make: Miller and Yao are not in the same category. Talking about Miller over Yao is non-sense.

Great, according to the same rating, Yao is way ahead of Shaq and is the better player and should definitely start over Shaq.

    That's just bull****.

Yao got 70.58 rating points, and Shaq is only 63 or so.

    Is Yao better than Shaq?

    Bull****.
