With all the talks of Hill, Miller needs some props. The old guy came through big tonight for a tough win.
I agree with G-Money but his efforts tonight are sure appreciated. We don't win this game without him.
if his play can win us a game in every 10 or so, then he's a pretty good signing for a piece of the mle
Man he made as many mistakes on the defensive end in this game as his made shots on the offensive end
I think this thread is deserved as long as it's referenced and we don't have a new one every good Miller game. We all considered labeling him as "worthless" after one game (not saying he still won't turn out to be overvalued in the long run). He really made things happen tonight.
Lol definitely not but I'm just saying everyone is praising him for playing well for ONE GAME. Everybody has good games now and then but it's what you do after that performance that matters.
Having a big man who can knock down 3's is a nice complement to Hill. It should go a long way in spacing out the floor and allowing Brooks, Lowry, Martin, Lee, Bud, etc. to drive to the basket. I'd like to see more of lineup of Brooks/Lowry, Martin, Lee/Budinger and Hill on the floor with Martin. 3 guys who can all drive to the basket. Miller either behind the 3 line or out mid-range and Hill who's athletic and an excellent offensive rebounder and can put back a layup or grab a long rebound.
The problem is that when Yao is playing Miller doesn't really get enough minutes to make an impact. I think it makes more sense to start Miller and bring Yao off the bench until we can bump up Yao's minutes.
HERE IS A PETITION TO THE ROCKETS: I plead with you guys to play BRAD MILLER and start him EVERY GAME that YAO can't play or is unable to play. He and Kevin Martin ran the offense in Sacramento for YEARS and it worked well. Jordan Hill and Chuck Hayes work, but Brad Miller can simply stretch a freakin' defense and make... people pay for doubling Scola or Martin and he is another coach out on the floor. Starting SUNDAY.
