Correct. I think he blew a critical save down the stretch against I believe Chicago, and then barely closed out games in the regular season. And he was no where close to lights out, needing an incredible double play, and great fielding to beat the Cards be4 Pujols did his thing......definitely mechanical. Good stuff to come in 07!
A tidbit from the intrasquad game today: The Astros held an intrasquad scrimmage on Tuesday. Garner was most impressed by closer Brad Lidge, who threw 13 pitches and struck out two batters. "Lidge was perfect," Garner said. "If he maintains his mechanics like he did today, he'll be in perfect shape."
