Eh, I'd say it was deserving enough. I'm pretty sure that when he made the prediction Love was still playing, no? Not sure, but we could win against a Love-less TWolves team. But if the last few games are any indicator, the next game is going to be an L as well.
While I didn't think they'd lose all these games, I did kind of expect a let down. Rough schedule coinciding with our players hitting their walls. Oh well, it was bound to happen. I just hope we stay afloat during this stretch. Then go back to winning when the schedule becomes favorable again.
If the Rockets lose to Minny when they are being held together with Popsicle sticks and glue it would just make this prediction even more epic. I'm actually rooting for a loss just to bear witness to the unthinkable.
I never like to see our team lose..but lets not bull**** each other. Rockets are going nowhere this year. Im sick of the rebuild while "contending" mentality. For God sakes, we are not going to win a title like that. NO team has done that. Well short of buying championships (see Miami). All they do is get our hopes up every season, then break our hearts in the end.
I hate you No way we will lose tomorrow though. The Wolves are banged up. But 5 for 6 is pretty incredible.
If you don't want to lose but you don't want to rebuild while "contending", then what do you suppose we do?
True tanking? Make Harden fake an injury? That would immediately destroy our season. Although given the draft, I would prefer this happens next season.
Props to the OP for the prediction... I think this year's Rockets are pretty much where we expected them at this point, half way into the season. Just depends on whether we can finish off the season strong or not. There's no reason to be disappointed by anything the Rockets achieve / don't achieve this season, considering how rediculously young and inexperienced we are.
you mistake my disdain of losing for our necessity to do so. We need to do what we say we need to do every year. TANK.
I understand they are the youngest team in the league. That means several things. 1. Extremely exciting to watch (at times) 2. Extremely frustrating to watch (most of the time) 3. A TOOOOON of turnovers. 4. Bright upside 5. Its OK to lose this year.
Why are people so surprised at this. This is what young and inexperienced teams do. They go thru unstoppable hot streaks and depressing cold streaks where they just can't win games. All part of growing up. These losses don't mean anything in the grand theme of things.
