    More comedy.....

Lebron James on who he thinks is MVP.

"I would vote for me," James told The Associated Press. "The body of work, how I'm doing it, what's been happening with our team all year long, how we've got so many injuries and things of that nature, guys in and out, to be able to still keep this thing afloat, I definitely would vote me."

    It's not an unreasonable take.

His numbers this season compare favorably — or exceed — the five-season run between 2008-09 and 2012-13 where he won the MVP award four times. His averages then: 27.8 points, 7.6 rebounds and 7.3 assists on 52 percent shooting while playing 38 minutes per game.

This season's numbers: 27.4 points, 9.1 assists and 8.6 rebounds on 55 percent shooting.

    They are MVP-worthy, without question.

"He's continued to prove everybody wrong and find new levels," said Miami guard Dwyane Wade, James' longtime friend and two-time former teammate. "In his 15th season, to be 33 years of age and to be playing the way he's playing, as consistent as he's playing, that is as impressive as anything that anybody has ever done."

Averaging 27 points, nine assists and eight rebounds is an NBA rarity.

Oscar Robertson had numbers like those five times, in five consecutive seasons from 1960-61 through 1964-65 (he won his lone MVP award in the 1963-64 season). No one posted averages like that again until last year, when Harden and Westbrook both pulled it off.

Definitely media conspiracy. My theory is Lebron has a fair share of media ppl in pocket to say positive things about him. This is all about his brand and legacy. The Cavs, and Lebron have had a overrall disappointing season & are gonna get bounced out the east without making the finals this year. Lebron knows this. So instead of reporting the real story on how Lebron failed to make his team better, the narrative is "Where is Lebron going next year", "Lebron puts up MVP type game against Brooklyn", "What would Lebron do in a MDA offense". Understand that the media really doesn't want to give anybody MVP outside of Lebron, Curry or WB. So now it's like "Harden's had a better season but Lebron could win it every year" lol. It's really blatantly obvious these ppl are PAID to say only nice things about Lebron

I like the criteria where LeBron's only measuring stick or comparable statistically is previous editions of MVP LeBron from a decade ago and not the league's present best player having the best season for the best team .

maybe there can be a separate "MVLeBJ" award.

This GIF is arguably Marcus Camby's greatest contribution to the Houston Rockets franchise.

The media just has to make it Interesting. It is no different than when Max, Skip, Broussard, or Smith sit there on national TV debating. Last year people actually were wowed by Westbrook vs Harden. Rachel Nichols messed up by openly saying it was a closed debate too soon. How many boards were filled with debates on who should win MVP last year. It was a hot topic. This year not so much. Silver has to make his money off the NBA award ceremony. Hopefully he finds a better host too.

Last couple weeks, there were a bunch of doofus threads started because the Rockets were drama free and blowing out teams onto another streak.

This fake controversy is just a reaction towards not having something raw to pick apart and discuss.

The dangerous twist is that the media can influence their own result, so they can just up and decide to switch votes rather than be consistent.

LeBron just tied MJ's record of 866 straight games in double figures.

Harden has 257 straight games right now in double figures scoring. He could catch LeBron if he plays 8 more seasons with his head above the double digit water line, but then again... LeBron will probably continue the streak for 3 more seasons.

So who's the real MVP? Yeah, it's still Harden. The MVP is not a lifetime achievement award and all those saying LeBron is the best player in the world are full of it. The best player in the world ain't leading a team to third in a weak Eastern Conference and tallying 30+ losses. His Cavs could easily slip to 5th if they lose a couple of games.

Harden is leading this rockets team to the best record in the nba , considering this team only has 1 all star and plays in a tougher conference. Media sucks balls

LeBron is the villain. Somebody needs to Photoshop LeBron's head on Killmonger's body with the quote "is this your mvp?".

Leborn plays in weak east. Just get 44 wins. He wants to lose his face talking about this. Last few years, he relies to form super team to get champion. His statistics is just a 2nd or 3rd type of stars only. He just good at make friendships likes a sales to form super team likes morey.
