As I stated in the post you quoted, I was making light of the dissection of the reporting. I just found it amusing, it isnt that serious.
I really think there’s a trade in the works. Tate hasn’t been announced yet. PJ, Gordon and House are all possibly on the block. Skal labissiere may be available too. He’s a great option.
Hes been a corpse for like 3 years at this point though. Like I'd be optimistic if he had a bad year last year but 3 years... he's just been stealing MJs money. Dwyane Wade was relevant more recently than Batum.
I hope you are wrong. The only one who should be on the block is House and only if its for a better player.
Stone is going to be aggressive. We know four things are true. last years team wasn’t good enough. Harden and Russ are rumored to want out. The Rockets want to convince them that this team could win a championship. We have two new picks we can attach in a trade as well as our own 2021 pick (swap but still)
Such tantalizing player but still so foul prone. Availability is the best ability. Not a starter yet. Need a starter. EDIT: F it, I'd take him if he is available. Let Harden weaponize him. Bouncy 6'11 with 7'3 wingspan players just do not grow on trees.
I really like Russ as a person but if there is a package available that would ship him out of here for good win now pieces I would do it. Best thing we can do is raise the value of these guys coming into the season imo. But you know....you are right about those picks IF the a team will take them.
I don't think moving Russ is the right move. Eric can definitely be much better than he played last year so selling low is bad. Russ was literally just traded for a giant trade package that we have no shot of recouping this offseason. Odds are both will be better this year and have higher value in a year. The difference is Russ and James wanted to play with each other and are life-long-friends. The difference is Russ is a bonafide superstar making $40 Million. Not a shot in hell there's a team who is going to pay market for him. Next season ? Maybe. Eric on the other hand at approximately $17M per season, is a much more movable contract. While it's shown as 4 Years with that annual rate. It's actually three years unless he appears in a championship. Most teams trading for him will expect 3 years on the deal. His contract can be used to add a serious impact player who may provide something that he can't. The market for Eric is definitely easier to navigate than Russ at this point. I'd say 5% Russ is traded. I'd say 33% Eric is traded.
Well if the Clippers offer PG for Russ Im taking. I mostly agree that I would rather have neither traded at the moment unless the offer is substantial.
Unless PG or Kawhi demand a trade out of LA to Houston, I cannot see that happening. Gordon for Zubac and Williams? That's more realistic.
