So is Westbrook. 27 PPG and averaging near triple double is no fluke. But he does not fit with every team.
Random thought about value of super max players playing next to Harden. Harden is so great that any comparison to him doesn’t match up. Super max players should be the best in league but the ones here aren’t even the best on their own team.
If you switched paul with russ for the okc series, rockets win 4-2 probably lol. Russ needs a Kevin Garnett type player just as bad as James needs a Chris Webber on the primes, surround by good role players. Webber would of took AD too school bro.
I think what’s lost in this is that it’s not championship or bust for every team. Some teams (Knicks, Hornets) just wanna make the playoffs, because they’re team has been in the lotto for god know how long. It’s obvious they’re not good at developing talent, seeing as though they had lotto picks for so long and they’re still trash. Russell Westbrook by himself can carry a team to the playoffs, especially in the East. Let’s be honest, NYK and CHA weren’t going to use that cap space anyway because no one wants to play there. Adding Westbrook and rebranding as an up and coming playoff team would go a long way looking through their perspective. It’s not the greatest contract, but it’s not a bad one either. The guy averaged 27,7,7 last year as a secondary scorer. He has questions with fit with other stats, but these teams don’t have another star so it’s perfect for him to be unleashed. I can see CHA or the NYK having 35-40 wins, which would be NYK’s highest since Melo.
As a goal for 2021, yea, these teams would be happy with just making the playoffs. But no team wants to perennially lose in the first round year after year. They will want more starting in 2022. But I agree with most of the rest of what you are saying.
Why is Bra Bra a insider, this guy is all over the place with bs rumors, why is this guy still being considered legit?
If we want BraBra to go away we gotta stop posting in his threads. Hence, this is my last post in this thread. Good day.
"Macri saying if Houston would give up Russ for nothing but Randle the Knicks would take him." No ****. I heard that @topfive is saying: "If the Lakers would give up AD for nothing but Gordon the Rockets would take him."
Stone: "This Westbrook-for-Randle proposal is garbage. They must think I'm a complete idiot." Tilman: "We’re doing this! We are going to make the change! We’re going to go after it and roll the dice! We’re going to find that 5 percent! The one thing I believe you do in business, and you do in basketball, is you never sit still."
Those are his exact words about him pulling the trigger on the Westbrook trade when everyone else in the FO didn't like the deal.
Westbrook problem is he thinks he is on the Harden, KD, AD and Lebron level as a player which is not remotely close to the truth and you really can’t use him off the ball since he can’t shoot so the only option for him is letting him run a team that will be mediocre to average and he can pad his stats and average a triple double. Our minus plus when Harden was on and Russ was off was amazing and vice versatile it was horrible
It's you either pull the trigger and have Harden and is sub par friend or lose out on both. I don't think Rockets were willing to build around CP3 regardless.
Harden may have wanted to ADD Russ, but there was never any indication he'd want to leave if that deal hadn't gone down.
