I think Obamacare is causing disruption in the labor markets because it is such a big game-changer for companies, workers, and well basically everybody. Some changes are good, and some bad. I see this as a bad one (though it may not be, if spousal coverage is compensation and you believe the market is efficient in setting compensation). Another bad one is the perverse incentive given to companies to keep a workforce of part-timers. So the conservatives would say Obamacare is bad and we should get rid of it, but I can't say that. I think it's worth having, but probably needs some fixing. The problem is that congress needs to move on from the repeal debate to be effective in fixing it. If conservatives would concede that we're keeping it, we can look at problems caused by the original law and pass follow-up legislation to address them. Instead, it'll stagger on as a somewhat dysfunctional program beleaguered by problems in the original legislation that are sniped on by conservatives and denied by liberals. If congress had any balls, they could make something really positive out of the whole thing; instead it will stultify in in-fighting.
But they aren't dropping coverage of anyone who won't already be covered. It isn't really a big deal.
USPS was doing FINE until the Republican-controlled Congress decided they had to pay 5 BILLION dollars a year to fund their pension plan 75 years in advance. It was a ploy to Privatize mail service by eliminating the USPS....because "business can do it better". Well, the problem is no PRIVATE company can deliver mail a cheap as USPS and still make money. Also, there was dirty little secret is that the Bush Administration was using USPS to pay for the 2 ongoing wars...that's why the money was being taken. Anyway, now the USPS is stuck with this STUPID pension funding plan and only Congress can fix it.
I think USPS is guaranteed the lowest price on First Class Mail by law. Everyone else has to charge more.

Having used all three services extensively over the last five years or so (both as an Amazon Prime member and a shipper), I have to disagree on tracking. USPS tracking is the worst among all three. They seem to update after midnight. Often times packages arrive on location and the tracking info does not show it until 1-2 days later. Shipping cost-wise USPS is definitely cheaper among all three. Insurance rates are roughly the same though.
Ahh...so you are recruiting others to boycott for you. If you are going to talk the talk, then walk the walk buddy.
Companies come up with b.s. excuses all the time. They are just using ACA as a way to not piss off their employees. "Hey, don't blame us for cutting benefits to save a bit of cash and squeeze more out of you - let's all blame ACA"
Even if they didn't, though, there isn't a company out there that could offer to pick up mail from your house every day of the week and deliver it anywhere in the country, no matter how remote, for $0.45 or whatever postage is these days. USPS can't even do it (which is why they have a loss), and they have arguably the most efficient cost structure possible thanks to their monopoly status that guarantees them volume.
Always sort of funny when wingnuts use these types of arguments to criticize Obamacare as if they somehow wish all folks had coverage.
