Whether it's gone downhill or not, boycotting just because Tracy McGrady didn't get his totally undeserved starting spot and being sanctimonious about "vote rigging" is totally unjustified. The NBA did the right thing if it rigged the votes, and McGrady was up by only a few thousand at previous count anyway so your case there is tenuous at best.
Yes, the All Star game has gone downhill, but what is your reasoning for boycotting the game? How does that have any effect on making the game better? Wrestling is fake and plenty of people still go see it. Are you a betting man?
It's clearly because McGrady was voted down, and he really wants to see McGrady in the ASG for some reason, even though in the fourth returns he was only up by a few thousand which could easily be overturned in a few weeks, and McGrady totally didn't deserve it anyway.
lol...AI is starting. Too funny. Allstar games are a joke. Never watch them anyways....sort of like the Pro bowl for the NFL....waste of time.
the allstar game has always been lackluster. it holds no merit, who cares if their favorite superstars are voted in to start or not. the only thing that is worth watching that whole weekend is the 3point shootout and maybe sometimes the slam dunk contest. all allstart weekend is, is a spring break for the athletes before they buckle down and finish the season. it generates money for the nba, and the city that is lucky enough to host it. really the only awards that should be taken seriously in the nba is the all nba teams that are picked out every year along w/ mvp's, coach of the year, 6th man, etc etc.
I agree is gone downhill thats why I said in my previous post: "the ASG has lost A LOT of credibility. A lot of players sometimes prefer not to play this game, because they want to rest that weekend, and be ready for the second part of the season. but maybe it would be good for the rockets that tmac played there, because teams see him playing, and has a bit more trade value, and the rockets got better things in return, hehe
