You have to remember that those 3 picks were NJ's picks and the Rockets simply drafted those players for NJ. If the trade did not take place with NJ, we may or may not have drafted Jefferson and the other two players.
Of course we got the better of the deal but the trade did help both teams. EG would have either been backing up Martin at the PF or playing out of position at the SF (he would have taken VanHorns job). Here in Houston he is blossoming into a potentially great player. We added Ming this year so Collins would have no place on this team and Armstrong sucks so the Nets can keep all 3 of the players and the contracts they got from us in that trade. And is it just me or does EG have the best stats of any player mentioned on the 1st & 2nd teams?
Good call! I didn't really look at them too closely, but you're right. First Team Drew Gooden, F, Grizzlies Stats: 15.7 ppg, 9 rpg on 43 percent shooting Second Team Eddie Griffin, F, Rockets Stats: 22 ppg, 10 rpg I'm confused Maybe it's because Eddie missed one game.
According to the article Gooden averaged 22.6 points and 10 rebounds for the Grizzlies at the L.A. Summer Pro League. But what was mentioned above was his overall stats. Still in the head to head game, I think Griff was better.
yeah i don't get that, eg's #'s where better than drew's but he still got 2nd team.man thats f***ed up!
