That is what I am talking about. Please remove things like 'just' when referring to Tmo. Why? Because it is unfair. Right now, not taking anything away from EG, Tmo is going to be as productive to this team as EG will. How can I say that? I say that because there are alot of things that Tmo can do that EG cannot do as well. Obviously EG is a better shot blocker and just better rebounder but Tmo has quite a few things that he does better, at this point. We doubted he would show and he has. So leave out words like 'just' for me please.
I always thought TRock could be a good player if he would just believe he could. Everyone keeps saying he can't shoot, which would seem true in games and his last year stats. I even though so too. But after I watched him in the summer league during warm-ups and half times I just couldn't understand how someone like him could be so bad as a shooter. I mean he would just throw them up during these warm-ups like he was unconcious, without even looking like he's taking his time to aim and they would just fall in perfectly, nailing many in a row and at the same time moving around(for instance taking one shot at the FT than 3pter, but not 2 shots at one spot). TRock was just as good of a shooter in those warm-ups as anyone even Griffin. I know warm-ups and game time are different but it just didn't seem like in games TRock was confident, he just took to much time thinking if he should shoot it and when he did like he expected his shots to miss. I hope he keeps this up because he really doesn't have any major weaknesses besides this, he's got great size and versitility, constantly moving around, good D, he can sometimes in streches have a nack at being at the right places for rebounds (can sometimes get 10 boards easily but not by being a pushing rebounding monster like Wallace), plays team ball and actually looks to pass, he's a quick cutter and he can get open underneath often, also he can handle well for a SF.
I said before the draft that if TMo could find his shot then the Rockets already had their SF of the future. He still needs to prove that he can do it in the regular season but if he can he is easily our best 3. I wish that people would please stop getting down Boki. He has played exactly one game where he took a shot. I learned my lesson a couple of years ago when I was calling for MoT's head early in the year for not hitting his shots and then he became comfortable with the team and he could not miss. So please just give Boki time...after all he is just a rookie. If TMo turns into the steal of last years draft then all of a sudden Rudy T looks even more like a genius. Last years draft might be the best since Ralph and Rodney in 83. Of course I don't think two pre-season games is enough to make that claim but it sure looks promissing.
Right on the money!!! It is nice to see TMo playing well though. I still say that if anybody should go it should be MoT, but he is gonna be hard to get rid of and he does give us some nice depth. Kenny is much more versitile and if he is going to be a backup then he is more valuable. Plus he has already put up ok numbers as a starter. We should keep em all this season and we will know for sure who should stay or go next summer.
