In a way he did since most of his opponents were positioned on the floor. :D

Word. Now we get Klitchko vs. Correy Sanders to fill in the vacancy. ug.

    ...

I really wanted to see Roy Jones fight Lewis that would have been classic no matter what the outcome. Hopefully we'll get a Tyson - Jones fight instead...

    ...

Anyone who thinks Klitchko was going to beat Lewis is discounting the fact that he had a large gash on his face that went down to the bone It ended up taking almost 8 weeks to fully heal.

Last I heard Jones was negotiating with Hopkins again.

Boxing retirements mean nothing. Nothing at all. I expect that Lewis will "unretire" in the near future if the money's right.

    1. no one said he was the greatest boxer

    2. his technique was vastly underrated...similar to aaron's game being underrated because everyone thinks he's just a power guy. tyson was a student of the fight game as much or more than anyone. he took his strengths and used them very well. until the buster douglas fight, i don't recall anyone outboxing him. or out slugging him.

He was one of the most technically knowledageable fighters in the modern era for one reason: Cus Damato. It was Cus who added technical skill to the raw power and spped and anger that Tyson possessed as a teen. Tyson was fast but after Cus taught him things like to always hold his chin to his chest and to watch the pectoral muscles for the flex to signal the opponent is about to punch he got scary fast. He was the king of positioning that worked best for him and his speed and power, bulldogging a guy and then getting in front and then diagonal to deliver a quick and powerful uppercut.

Don't hold your breath. Lewis isn't going to un-retire. The only "money" fight available to possibly get him out of retirement would be a Klitschko rematch, and he has effectively turned that down by retiring.

In his prime, he didn't just beat anyone in front of him, he destroyed them. You can't ask for much more than that.

If you ask most people who watched the fight, he lost the first match.
