My sentiments exactly... At 46 truly an inspirational story... His success has to be due to his technique the guy never drops his hands, never does anything different but just follows his routine and straight up box...
There's an argument to be made that he hasn't lost a fight in 18 years (I thought he beat Taylor both times and lost close to Calzage personally). Nard is amazing. His fights are getting more exciting as he gets older and that's really saying something. I don't think he throws enough punches to beat Dawson but Chad is definitely there for that right hand. Thing with BHop is you can put him in any era and he'd be amongst the best of the division. No doubt in my mind he could hand with Hagler, Hearns and monzon
Pascal has a history of gassing in fights and BHop exploited that perfectly in both fights. He felt Jean out and let him wing big shots in the first few rounds and then stepped on the gas.
No sir(I'm from Detroit). Floyd isn't from Detroit anyways. He's from Grand Rapids and rarely ever goes home. He's a vegas guy.
LOL, i know just gettin into the Floyd fans, you from Detroit, really? You still live there.. Floyd lives in Vegas now?? I always assumed he lived in like L.A or something...
Yeah, I'm from Detroit. I currently live in Houston and have done so for most of my life. I go back next month for the weekend. In all honesty, nobody outside of his family in Grand Rapids cares about Floyd. Like I said, he rarely goes home and doesn't really have a fan base there. It's even smaller in Detroit. We supported James Toney 100x more then Floyd and Tommy Hearns is a God there. Floyd currently lives in Vegas. He has for most of his boxing career. He moved out there when he first signed with Top Rank and trained out of their gym. He bought a house and stayed there even after he split to start his own promotional company. He has a place in Miami too but is in vegas 90% of the time.
My favorite fighter of all time and baddest man walking the planet. Hearns always went to war despite being a very good boxer. Morales is the only current fighter that reminds me of Tommy
Hopkins vs. Dawson should be a really big fight now with all the press Bernard is getting right now. Should be a good fight too.
I hope so. Hopefully Chad lets his hands go and doesn't just stand outside and box his way to a boring UD. The way he backs straight up with his chin in the air leads me to believe that BHop will find him with that overhand right at some point and then things will get interesting. One thing i really like about Dawson is he sits in the pocket and fights back when he gets tagged hard. He's not a hold and clinch guy. It's going to be interesting to see where this fight lands. Hopefully Vegas. I want to check this one out live.
While I'm ok with that line of thinking it's not consistant with most all time p4p lists I've seen. I fully expect that to change now though
Meanwhile, this happened to Roy Jones, Jr. last night in Russia: <iframe width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/cPS8pK-DPlc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Wow the old man does it again! Highly entertaining fight considering it was a bhop fight. Hell no! That fight will be boring as ****. I'm falling asleep just thinking about it. Just a horrible matchup of styles. And enough with this mental masturbation that is the imaginary p4p list. It means just as much as these abc titles these days. I just want to see good matchups, don't give a rats ass about who's #1 or #2. I swear, people get so caught up in these list and rankings it's ridiculous.
