shocked because he won or he KO hatton?

I am surprised Mayweather could KO hatton, but Mayweather is supposed to beat Hatton. Mayweather has much better skills and is a better athlete. People who gave hatton a chance are mainly hatton fans or people who just hate mayweather.

Margarito will have a better chance than Hatton because I think margarito is bigger... but he is also slower than hatton.

I think the type of fighter who can challenge mayweather is one that has good speed and excellent one punch power. Someone likes Zab Judah. Now if only we can donate a brain to Judah.

Mayweather basically toyed with Hatton after the 8th round. Hatton took a Hell of a lot of devastating punches right to the head and didn't back down, but he was basically a punching bag in the latter rounds. That first knockdown where Hatton hit the corner was an amazing shot - probably the best Floyd shot I've seen. Overall, the fight had a lot of clinching and hugging but was pretty exciting with a great finish.

Zab Judas has a lot of natural talent maybe even more than Floyd, but it also takes work ethic and brains to be great like mayweather.

Hatton pretty much just walked into the punch that started the end.

I couldnt believe that either, and i'm English. I dislike mayweathers attitude and mentality but i can't believe so many americans weren't in his corner for this fight.

During the first few rounds, Mayweather fought quite dirty...always the elbow out, head down, lots of holding (by both, more by Mayweather, but only Hatton seemed to get reprimanded by the referee). Hatton was courageous, but he lacked the punch and precision and was way too open most of the time. Hatton got a point deduction for hitting the back of the head of Mayweather in the 7th round (when he didn't even connect), then Mayweather did the same and got no warning or deduction. The judge kept reprimanding "Ricky" when Mayweather was doing more of the holding all the time. However, Hatton really had no chance...Mayweather's punches were a lot more precise and effective...after the middle of the 8th round, it was pretty clear that it was over.

The guy uses illegal elbows, he holds through out the whole fight. He needs to get shot on the on the strip.

imo, that was a career defining fight for floyd. beating an undefeated hatton - an excellent body puncher, physically stronger and primed boxer - in such a dismantling fashion was nothing short of spectacular. that said, floyd still has work to do to be considered one of the alltime greats.

cotto would be a huge challenge as would williams. cotto showed vs mosley that he can handle speed quite well and is undoubtedly the best body puncher in the division. given his strength advantage over floyd, I think if they ever fought miguel could win.

williams amazing reach and jab accuracy could defeat floyd as well. look to forrest v mosley for an example. the gr8 equalizer to speed is a precise jab and paul has it in spades. for whoever said that williams v floyd would be boring, you couldn't be more wrong. floyds holding becomes a nonissue because williams will control distance. you really think floyd can slip those jabs and will WANT to mix it up inside? I don't. williams by UD.

margarito v pbf would be a sleeper of major proportions. tony throws punches by the pound but has far too slow of hand speed to be effective against floyd. his best weapon (uppercut) is moot against a bob and weave floyd. potshots by pbf all night, followed by hugs/clinches.

floyd v cotto with the winner facing the next gr8 welterweight, paul williams. although paul is nowhere even close to being in his prime, his skillset makes him ready to take on either fighter.

But it's not disgusting when Brits do it? Ive never heard Americans boo other people's national anthem.

I'm glad Mayweather punked those British b****es. The dude has serious skills.

And when he came out to Born in the USA it was great.
