yeah i'm shocked. he didn't try and run around the ring. maybe it was because hatton was cutting him off at times, but floyd proved himself again tonight.

The MGM is in trouble tonight - bands of drunken, broke English hooligans roaming through the casino tonight.

**** them anyway, not only did they boo our national anthem, then they boo Floyd when he wins. Ummmm... wow.

And Floyd graceful in thanking the UK fans.

Also, seeing his kids crying and then as he tries to comfort them he starts crying after the fight - this is what a great boxing fight is.

This sport needs a unified governing body overseeing it, but that has about as much chance of happeneing as a college football playoff does.

    OMFG.

The judges scores at the time of the KO are delusional!

Another example of why this is a dying sport, sadly...

    Is HBO gonna do a post-fight 24/7?

Also, where should I look for the torrent of the fight when it becomes available?

Hatton brought out the best in Mayweather, and Mayweather rose to the occasion.

Time for Mayweather to retire. He won't move up to middleweight because his body is too small, and there are no other welterweights for him to fight.

If you could pit him against welterweights from other eras....I would love to see Mayweather fight a Roberto Duran or a Thomas Hearns.

Floyd needs to fight and beat Cotto then he can retire.

That fight in Madison Square Garden on PPV would do numbers, plus floyd can say he beat everyone that could have really challenged him.

floyd's just bull****ting. a month from now we'll hear that he's close to signing a fight with cotto. he keeps talking about wanting to be the greatest of all time. he's bull****ting himself if he thinks that his current resumes good enough for that.

At this point, no one can beat Floyd, and he will beat Cotto if they ever fight. The only one who stands a chance is Paul Williams and only because of the height and reach advantage. A fight between Mayweather and Williams would be boring beyond belief. I say its ok for Mayweather to go out the way he did. Retire on top. If he keeps beating people, the fans will just pick someone else, if he beats Cotto, we will say he needs to beat Williams. If he beats Williams we will say he needs to beat Margarito, and so on.

As arrogant and stuck up as Mayweather is, he actually has the right to be. The guy proved me wrong and probably alot of other people wrong too. No one can beat Mayweather in his prime, and no one ever will.

i totally agree. that's why he should just keep fighting the best until he loses a step, then retire undefeated. right now his resume isn't good enough for him to be ranked top 10 o ll time. if he beats cotto then williams, and maybe someone like margarito, he'd really prove himself. i think mayweather is almost unbeatable at 147. i think cotto would give him a harder time then hatton, but i think he'd still win a unanimous decision.

mayweather is notorious for being a fighter who picks and chooses his fights. the greatest would fight anyone anywhere around the world. mayweather already turned down a fight vs. margarito and has been dodging cotto for awhile now.

i find it funny that people claim mayweather as the GOAT, esp since the DLH fight (if you want to call it a fight - more like DLH chasing mayweather around until he ran out of gas)

I hate Mayweather so bad, and i am truly shocked at tonights outcome. At this point, I dont know if their is anyone that can really beat mayweather. His boxing style(defensively), is so r****ded. Did Joe Cortez piss anyone else off? Antonio Margarito wants to woop that ass, but even then, i dont know if he could even beat him. Im still shocked...

Who claims he is the GOAT? I was watching ESPN and even they were stating he is not as good as those before him.

How is his boxing style r****ded? The dude is one of the smartest and technically astute boxers around. It aint his fault hatton is a brawler and after money may adjusted to his style it was over. Floyd picked him apart and ended it in the 10th. I normally don't like PBF and i'm English but i was in his corner tonight. I hate the way all the english fans and media have been on hattons nuts and showing him love that they never showed lennox.

One Mayweather, There's only one Mayweather!
