    what?? you're trying to hard.

JMM stepped into a punch. He went down for about 3 seconds.

Nobody can beat Floyd right now. Not Shane, not Pac, not even Paul Williams. I used to think Williams could do it, but not anymore.

Out of those 3 though, Shane has the smallest chance.

100% agree with you here. I knew he was a good boxer but I saw how great he was during his last fight with Marquez.

If Floyd uses his offense as much as he uses his defense, he'll be the most exciting fighter ever...

Not even Paul Williams? You've got to be kidding me, that dude is a giant amongst the smaller division and breaks down defense and is as quick as a flyweight...

Williams has a great work rate, but he isn't skilled enough to beat Floyd. The only way to beat Floyd is to be faster and smarter than him. As of right now, there isn't a single boxer that can do that.

Paul is a good volume puncher, as we saw in the Winky fight. But he never really broke down Winky's defense. He just out-worked him. Floyd can easily outbox Williams and he is faster. The power at WW will probably be the same considering Williams isn't considered a power puncher.

Anything can happen, but I doubt a fight with Williams will even happen. The likely fight will be with either Shane or Cotto. A fight with Pac probably won't happen because of the money. I also am not too sure that Pac will beat Cotto in November.

    But we will see.

A Williams fight won't happen because Floyd is scared of him. Paul already called him out. Same with Cotto and Floyd uses the lame "he doesn't draw" excuse. To which Cotto called him a Chicken and said Floyd doesn't want to fight him. So pretty much all those 3 fighters that people want Floyd to fight, have huge obstacles. All thanks to Money May of course.

Well at this point he has no choice but to hit up one of those fighters. His next fight has to be against an elite fighter. No tune up, or BS fight. He has to fight Shane/Cotto/Pac/Williams.. Shane and Cotto are the only real WWs in that list.

Only other Welterweights out there are Berto, Clottey, and Margarito. None of which will help Mayweather gain anything. I say, beat Shane, then Cotto, then Pac and retire. Even if he moves up to fight at jr.middelweight again, the only opponents are Williams and Kirkland, neither of which are a real threat.

Hell even if he fought Williams, nobody would care because the casual fan doesn't know who he is.

I think that weather or not Shane or anybody can beat Mayweather, if you are Mayweather you got to fight them or be considered a duker. In fact, Mayweather is already a ducker in my opinion because Shane has wanted that fight forever.

Yeah well Shane should have thought of that before. They offered him 8 million a while back to fight Floyd. He didn't want it. Nobody is ducking anyone. Floyd hasn't ever ducked a fighter. But remember, it is a business first, and if the money isn't right, nobody wants to fight.

Regardless nobody will beat him. If I was Floyd, and I was looking at the Welterweight division. I wouldn't even want to fight. There aren't any challenges. And sorry but anyone who thinks Pacquiao is a challenge doesn't know **** about boxing.

Name one other fighter out that can counter like that? He saw the punch before Marquez even threw it.

Forgot about that...that was after Shane lost to Winky Wright, if i remember correctly.

Shane didn't have a belt at that point. Floyd fought Oscar then, instead...am I remembering that right??

Yeah if I remember correctly, it was after Floyd's fight with Baldomir. Shane didn't want to fight, instead he opted to take a vacation and get some dental work done. So I don't see how Floyd ducked Shane, if he was offered a fight straight up and didn't take it.

Now that he is old and can't get anyone important to fight him and hes gone through a divorce; He wants to fight. Hey now that Oscar is gone, you gotta either call out Floyd or Manny to get a big payday. Shane is 36 years old, I don't blame him for trying to push for a big fight, but I don't want to hear this **** about Floyd ducking him.

Like I said, Shane knows he can't beat Floyd, he is doing it for the payday. Same with Marquez, I am sure he challenged Floyd mostly for the payday. He is too smart to think he could beat a welterweight that is faster than him.

A lot of people jumped on the Shane bandwagon as soon as he destroyed Margarito. But Margarito is basically a statue when it comes to defense. He stands in front of you and absorbs your punches. He can make any boxer look like a freaking marksman. Floyd isn't going to stand there and absorb a damn thing. UD or late round KO for Floyd. I already got 2 people to put money on it with.

Floyd fighting all three would be a big pipe dream. If anything, I think he only fights one of the three. I don't see him fighting Shane so my money would on the winner of Pac/Cotto. For a storybook ending, he fights Shane in his retirement match. Money May also said he might want to do WWE full time after boxing. Doubt that happens though.

Not an exact, but this is a similar counter:

Pac able to throw a punch and slip a punch all in one motion. I'm telling you, Boxing needs a Pacman vs Money May fight!

I don't see Pac beating Mayweather. Pac is too small to beat a guy who is nearly as quick as he is and who does not take chances.

Not worth starting a new thread, but I actually met Floyd today briefly (I have a really blurry cell phone pic of his back while he was getting coffee that is not worth posting) anyway he was relatively cordial and not the d******d he can be/used to be. I guess I knew this already but he's pretty small. I opted not to challenge him.

I seriously doubt that Floyd is really an arrogant *******. He just embraces that personality to sell fights and make people watch 24/7.

That is one of the main reasons he is hated by so many casual boxing fans.

i know somebody who met him in Vegas about 5 years ago (pre 24/7) and said he was incredible jerk-off. He may have grown up a bit since.

Every time you meet a celebrity fighter you use this same excuse.

Floyd's actually always a cool guy in person. Everything he does on TV is and when he's in huge crowds is just an act. When he was coming up (pre Castillo 1) he really wasn't a draw at all. He didn't really start making large purses until the Corrales fight. Even after his win there he needed Gatti to draw a crowd. Everyone who meets him is normally shocked because they expect him to be an arrogant prick. I have yet to meet someone who's had a bad experience with him. To add to your comment about him being relatively small, he rarely gets above 158. He pretty much walks around at his fighting weight (thus making it extremely easy for him to cut to 147).
