Good fight by Cotto. Too bad it was tainted by those slips by Foreman. A rematch should be in order :)

Cotto looked great in his rebirth by Emanuel Steward. Really went back to old Cotto tactics and stayed on strategy unlike the Pacquaio fight where he looked unfocused and always on the defensive against a faster guy.

This fight, Foreman's lack of time against any quality boxers showed through. Cotto's resume gave him the favorite spot in my eyes goin in, but people had high hopes pinned on Foreman and his athleticism. Foreman looked like he was running scared first 2 rounds while Cotto jabbed his lights out with power. Then next few rounds Foreman found his feet and it got a little interesting, showed some solid jabs and combos.....and then his leg gave out. After that point he was pretty much hobbling around the ring, and I give him props for even staying in and continuing. Definitely earned my respect.

And as for the towel being thrown in the 8th, I'm pretty sure foreman's corner did it, not wanting him to get injured, but Foreman wanted to continue and felt like he could. The refereee did an excellent job sorting out the mess, and asking Foreman what he wanted to do as well as asking who threw in the towel. I think Foreman's corner saw him react disgusted by his corner's decision to withdraw, and then acted like they didn't know who threw it in, so that the fight could continue.

    Couple of observations:

-Crowd IMO was much smaller then I expected
-Was that Maligannani's trainer in "Mean" Joe Green's corner as the cutman? (Undercard)
-Did anyone see Pacquaio in the crowd? Straight ahead, 3rd row, wearing red? Maybe I missed it earlier in the fight, but I didn't hear any mentions of him being in attendance by the commentators. Found that odd, unless it wasn't him at all.

Nah no need for a rematch. Cotto out-boxed a boxer, nothing will change. Cotto is in a different class all together. Bad leg or not, Cotto would have still won.

Apparently a fight with JCC Jr. can happen. I say let Cotto at him, so every Mexican who doesn't **** about boxing can stop praising this kid, who has done absolutely nothing but struggle against tomato cans.

Maybe he could then fight Angulo then set up a fight with Martinez or Williams.

    Repeated for truth.

Not to say Cotti wouldn't have beat him anyway, but, just saying.
