As I was reading your post I was saying to myself, if he doesn't post an image of his 800 ring, I will. btw: what was the score of the 2nd 800. That's news to me. btwbtw: Rockets2K didn't make it clear, but you only get these rings in sanctioned league competition. You can't just show up and have a good game. You have to do it in competition.
It is about as rare as a no-hitter in MLB, and there are a lot more league bowlers than starting pitchers in the majors. The best I've managed is a 600 series, I can't even fathom getting an 800 series (My high game is 269, and 3 of those would barely get me there).
Are we talking like Professional bowling leagues? Because I was thinking about joining an AMF league that was competitive, idk if that is different from a PBA league (if that is right terminology)
Not professional leagues. PBA tour is not a league. We'd be talking your standard weekly leagues that are sanctioned by the USBC.
Ahhh alright cool. are these scores without handicaps? I remember watching one of my friends games (sat in as a sub just in case also) and saw someone bowl a 280+ game and with his handicap got like a 330. Im assuming that it would be a real 300 score.
Yes, they would have to be raw scores, not handicapped. And FWIW, there are handicapped and non-handicapped leagues (or at least used to be).
so I am thinking of bowling some turkeys some time after turkey day (maybe the following week)? Alpha lanes is my first choice followed by Armadilla lanes, can I get a head count?
There's not many scratch leagues(non-handicap) around anymore, but if you really want to go up against the best competition an area has to offer, you'll find them in the scratch leagues. The 827 is the most current(Dec 2011) I thought I was gonna shoot another 300 tonight, got the front 7 strikes and then started leaving single pins, but I never missed the pocket. Oh well, that's the game...gotta carry all ten. LCAhmed, just depends on what day and my schedule, I'm on call alot so I rarely know exactly what days I will be free in advance. I can always use some practice tho and I have yet to go to a clutchfan get-together I didn't enjoy. It will be easier to get folks to show up to Clear Lake so Alpha should be first choice, besides I know that there aren't many open lanes at Armadilla weekday evenings. Weekend afternoons are commonly pretty wide open as far as open lanes go. Alpha has been pretty busy the few Saturdays I have been there. G Zus, I aint talking to you till you talk normal.
what? you dont think people have memories? You started out discussing like a normal human being, and I'll bet some folks found your nick amusing, but since then you have adopted this character who cant spell for **** and talks like a child. Some people might find it amusing, but I dont talk to characters online, I talk to people. That was back in 2011.
Alright, well I work every Saturday, so my best bet would be Saturday evening (6pm or so) or a Sunday (I work every other Sunday). I'll start working on a date once we get some people confirming.
