    Yay, I won the pool!! I know a number of people had RocketLauncher as the odds-on favorite in the ClutchFans "Which right wingnut would jump in with the hardest to believe excuse for Conway outright lying to support Trump's immigration ban"Pool?" Others bet on Commodore and Tallanver. But I just knew ipaman would ride in like the calvary.

    Come on ipaman... you seriously think some terrorist massacre happened in Bowling Green that the local police agreed with Homeland Security to "keep quiet." And that somehow Conway lets it slip out"? Seriously?

    Occams razor tells us that the simpler explanation is the correct one. And in this case, Conway simply lied in order to justify Trump's ban. Wasn't the first time its happened from Trump and his team. Won't be the last.

    I think there is another possible explanation. When you tell so much untruth, after some time, it's just nearly impossible to keep up with what is and isn't true. Wait, is that worse?

    In fairness to the truth-challenged Conway... it was all an "oopsie". She meant to say "terrorists", not "massacre." I know, the two words almost sound and mean the same thing. And sure, she had already mentioned the two people as terrorists, so its odd she would then refer to the two terrorists as the masterminds behind the two terrorists. But since she almost admitted to making a mistake, and probably thought in hr mind there was an apology (what am I saying, she took the opportunity to say the press lies, er makes mistakes, not her).

    original quote: “Two Iraqis came here to this country, were radicalized, and they were the masterminds behind the Bowling Green massacre. Most people didn’t know that because it didn’t get covered.”

    Now, corrected based on her "oopsie": “Two Iraqis came here to this country, were radicalized, and they were the masterminds behind the Bowling Green terrorists. Most people didn’t know that because it didn’t get covered.”

    Meanwhile, Trump probably is snickering at how the lie was spun out there, and then cracked a joke about "dumb blondes" . :cool:

    The really odd thing about what she said was that she prefaced it by saying "I bet it’s brand new information to people that...." She needs to read her Goebbels manual again. If you want people to blindly accept what you tell them, you start by saying, "Everybody knows that...."

    Rereading now. Here you say, "I think she might have let some intel slip." You go on to explain how some other people might believe that the Obama administration might have fabricated (but not released) a massacre story, and that these conspiracists are going to take this as evidence that it's true. But then you again say "I think Conway really facked [sic] up." Hard to blame people for thinking that you think these things.

    As opposed to a unreported terrorist massacre?

    And, if you even give her a pass on saying she meant to say terrorists, she still outright lied by saying "Most people didn’t know that because it didn’t get covered.”

    So basically you just pulled something out of your ass.........

    Perhaps she isn't as "smart" as you believe, and isn't qualified for the level of influence she has? The other option is that she is smart and qualified, but knows that the supporters of Trump will believe anything passed off as "fact" by the Trump administration..... that would explain "alternative facts"....

    Either way, it isn't acceptable and doesn't speak well for the next 4-8 years.

    People giving interviews and speeches rarely misspeak a single word.

    I had to really search hard for these because misspeak a single word is so rare. These might be the only other two times it's happened.

    I read your 2nd post and understood your clarification, I just think your whole false flag idea is bizarre. The only people who think that are the same truther morons who think Dick Cheney blew up the Twin Towers because of reasons.

    As far as Conway and the Massacre, I tend to never attribute to malice what can be explained by stupidity, as the old saying goes.

    Occam's razor would be that she lied.

    No it wouldn't. Occam's razor would be that she messed up a single related & associated word. A lie is too complex for Occam's razor and you know that. Don't be a troll.

    Yea, because I always compare accidental flubs in speeches like the two you showed in video and a government spokesperson trying to support the controversial immigration ban. Yea, they are just like each other.

    LOL. yet this is what you initially wrote:

    "There were two radicalized Iraqis arrested in Bowling Green on May 2011. I think she might have let some intel slip out so she might be in big trouble. This is scary (or Christmas) for you folks who believe in false flags committed by our own government. I think miss Conway really facked up here saying something she heard or read about (now that she's an insider) not realizing the incident never occurred as intended or planned."

    But she didn't just mess up a single word, she messed up the whole story.

    I bet it’s brand-new information to people that President Obama had a six-month ban on the Iraqi refugee program after two Iraqis came here to this country, were radicalized, and they were the masterminds behind the Bowling Green Massacre. Most people don’t know that because it didn’t get covered.

    a) It was not new information;
    b) There was no 6 month ban on Iraqi refugees, the pace slowed as the vetting program was strengthened (including expanded fingerprint crosschecking, that's how they got turned on to one of the guys, his prints were on a previously found unexploded IED in Iraq);
    c) The 2 men were not "radicalized here", they were insurgents in Iraq before mistakenly being granted refugee status;
    d) The Bowling Green Massacre is not a real thing;
    e) The actual story was covered extensively at the time.

    Literally the only factual part of her statement was "two Iraqis came here to this country".

    Now now Commodore, you didn't win the pool. And I already provided Conway's excuse.

    Still some shaky parts of her story. Like why would she refer to the two terrorists as being the masterminds behind the terrorists? Wouldn't it sound more reasonable if she meant to say the plotted attack, or planned attack. That excuse would make sense... the two terrorists were the masterminds behind the planned attack. So maybe she didn't tell the truth when she claimed she meant to say the terrorists?

    But at the same time, she also said "Most people didn’t know that because it didn’t get covered.” Again, she is attempting to support Trump's controversial immigration plan. Of course, they have already tried and failed to show that Obama's plan in 2011 is the same as Trump's current plan., That comparison has been debunked. But here Conway attempts to support the immigration plan by attacking the media for not doing their job, and the Obama administration for not sharing info about this. And both of these are untrue. It was covered in the press.
