Are these guys REALLY the best two qbs in college football? They are going to get ate up in the nfl. Damn it sucks to be a titan fan
So Mariota makes the wrong read as he checks out of the play... then "improvises" poorly to almost get his WR killed (and not getting the conversion as is). Maybe the Texans will have a shot at drafting him after all...
Yeah... on that last play, he made the wrong decisions all over the place... and they praised his "improvisation".
As an objective viewer I was more impress by how TCU looked than Baylor. It is not just about wins but how you win (this is past box score as well). I did not watch all of their games, but those i did I never thought Baylor was great. Objective as it may be they didn't pass the eyeball test. If Ohio State plays V tech again they destroy them if Baylor play WVU who knows maybe maybe not. But I am a Ohio State homer grain of salt.
IMO, Winston is a much better QB, but he could easily end up as Bryon Leftwich. Wasn't that OSU loss vs VT Barrett's first game as well? Lol Baylor deserved that loss after TCU choked up their game against them... TCU should've went undefeated.
These games actually do invalidate the perception that the SEC West is a conference where you deserve mulligans for "surviving" because all of the teams are great and would pretty much be a contender if they didn't have to play so many other "great conference teams". Some thought the likes of LSU, A&M, Auburn and the MS teams were great teams. They are not.
Bowl wins is the proof that the SEC fans use to say they are far superior to everyone else. Now they lose most of them and it's, "only a few games". Lol Fact is that the SEC west (this season) was vastly overrated. Oh, and TCU showed the world they are one of the top teams in the country with that absolute ass whipping of ole miss. Most lopsided big bowl I remember.
That, as well as OOC during the season, # of ranked teams at season's end, National Championships, etc. This year is definitely not a good year for the SEC West in bowl season, so I guess for this year, props to everybody else, but it's not like a few games are ironclad proof that the SEC West is a sham. They just lost some games. No shame in that. There are good teams everywhere.
Good response there by Jameis and FSU. That trend of comebacks could continue. They should be up. 4 red zone trips and only one touchdown.
