Of course like always tamu bases their total existence on UT. Yo guys beat Texas but still did sorrier than they did overall. But in CS, "We beat Texas, break out the beer in the champagne glasses!"
No. Its not like that. Not even close. Thats why Fran isn't coaching. We worry about being the only Big 12 team to ever beat Kansas basketball at home. Assume what you will. Been at TAMU forever, never really saw anyone creaming themselves over Texas. Its just the fight song. Something thats existed forever. But I guess you said it so its true. I didn't see anybody rooting against Texas in the 2 Rose Bowls.
I bring up the last two games against Texas merely because you probably shouldn't be talking trash about how bad a team is when you've lost your last two against them. For the record, beating Texas is a plus, but I'd much rather be playing for a Big XII title. Hell, I'd prefer to beat Texas when the Big XII South title goes to whoever wins.
^lol I seriously doubt this (two posts above). I am not going to go to the texas aggies dot come bulletin board but I'm pretty sure the 05 and 06 rose bowl game threads are probably not a sea of pro-orange sentiments.
To be honest, it was about split. There are some guys who would root for Satan and a team of demons rather than root for Texas. There are some guys who will always root for Texas outside of the Big XII because it's gfood for the conference. There are others who will root for Texas when they are playing outside of the state because dammit, football belongs to the state of Texas.
Good point but, that's just like in the 98-99 season where TAMU comes back to beat Kansas State in OT in the Big 12 championship only to lay an egg vs Ohio **** 24-7. I believe it was the Fiesta Bowl, right? Correct me if I'm wrong on that. Going from memory on that one. Bottom line, you get respect points from the media and more blue chippers when you win the BIG games, the Bowl games. A&M in the last decade has won one maybe two? That's not going to get it done. If A&M and the Big 12 are to become an elite conference then, they must have sights set higher than beating UT. Big 12 is getting better but ... SEC conference is a battle royale EVERY week! That is one TOUGH conference!
Since 1990, A&M has had only 3 bowl victories (in 13 games). Yes, that's not good. Hopefully Sherman can do some good in the bowl department.
Anytime...the only reason I can remember it is that I remember anything that makes me swear that much or that loudly.
