He is EXACTLY the type of backup PG this team needs, one that comes in and changes the pace, ala Earl Boykins.

AB plays with confidence and moves the ball up on the dribble and the pass.

    So far so good...

Sometimes it take a few teams to give those short guys a chance.

it's a lineup with potentially stronger d and sura and t-mac will offer better rebounding more consistently, hopefully.

He's shown some poise playing the first game for the Rockets.

Played pretty good tonight. 6 pts 2 assists 3 rbs and O Tournovers. lets see if he can keep this up. could be a nice spark of the bench.

I like that he hit both his three-pointers. If he can prove his perimeter shooting is consistent, I think he'll stick around the league, maybe even with the Rockets.

I liked how he played as well. I guess this means we'll never see Reece Gaines play as a Rocket. Not that I'm disappointed, but I guess the Magic were really right about him not being any good. If he keeps playing well, wouldn't this make Lue expendable? I mean, this could turn out to be a blessing in diguise. Barrett becomes a great backup PG for the team and they use Lue (and his expiring contract) in a trade to acquire a better starter. Just a thought.

Of course, he was a former Knick.

Still, I'm as impressed with that he got 18 minutes of playing time for his first game. Encouraging. I wonder why he went undrafted and then waived. I hope the answer doesn't become obvious... remember Derrick Chievous? Ah, most of you probably don't - be glad.

I think one of the reason he's undrafted is because of his size, Andre Barret has all the skills. If he's someone 6'3, definitely 1st round.

He could be helpful, and if he's ridiculous for al ong time, maybe even start on a team with low PG play like this. But I doubt he could be what Daniels was..that's asking for a bit too much. I'd be incredibly happy with a 20 mpg guy out of the blue.

Glad Bowen's gone for a while..

And a 4 guard lineup? Please...even the Suns use 3 guards and 2 forwards who can rebound like psychos. Having Sura and TMac in doesn't help rebounding if they're playing the 3 and 4 spots..the other team's 4 and 5 will get every board.

Did y'all see him draw that charge in the paint?

If the Rox are ever going to have an initial offense-- or even, dare I say it?-- a fast break, then this fellow looks like he's done Wally Pipped Charley Ward.

One game, I know; but I don't think he made one significant error out there, and he pushed the ball like he wanted a job or something. I could root for this guy.

Why should he shoot when he can pass like that? I've always liked him and never really understood why he didn't get more PT... besides the bad shooting and small stature things, I mean.

Brevin Knight has always been injury prone in the pros.
