Guys, just got a DJI Phantom 3 Standard drone. Anybody with experience in this model or the advanced/professional model? If so, please recommend good websites for tutorials or tips. TIA
I'm not sure what I would do with a drone. Seems like it would be fun for about one day, and then it goes to the closet.
be careful. a friend of mine just experienced a fatal flaw. apparently some models are prone to shoot up into the sky to never return no kidding. you can google it our theory is the government has a mother ship drone that they will fly home too if called
Are they difficult to control? It looks like a fun hobby, but I think I'd crash it too soon. For those of you who have drones, are they challenging to get the hang of? Is it worthwhile investment?
Same here. They're that much? That's enough for a hoopty for a high school/college kid. Crazy. I guess I'll watch the Youtube videos instead.
Obviously fun is subjective, but its an amazing gadget. Footage captured on a DJI Phantom 3. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/EI1d81vgq-Q?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Cameras and bigger payloads. Higher altitudes. GPS systems. Overall, more practical functionality and cool accessories and possibilities. Hell, I'm tempted to buy one just to help me out with traffic jams to fly ahead and tell me which lane is going the fastest. I also was not kidding about a flaw where they will just shoot up and disappear and never come back.
Best practical use for drones yet. That and promotional ad videos, I guess. I kinda want to go to Harlan, KY on the low low now.
