how come nobody has posted the study yet showing that houston has the 6th worst tap water in the country?
I just finished reading the thread and was about to say the same thing. And as I'm reading this I'm drinking Aquafina.
I live in Houston so this thread sealed the deal for mehttp://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=178635
That I do and keep them refrigerated. Also I'm not just collecting water bottles at random so say I'm running a road race I will save the bottle I pick up and drink from so any bacteria in it has come out of my mouth already.
When your water comes out full of white specks, it's not the same. I know the white specks are calcium, but I worried about the stuff that can't be seen also. There is bacteria usually in tap water here.
do those filters pull rust out? i live in an old building and the water pipes have small amounts of rust.
?? Huh? Why? Sure do. Came in handy during the hurricane, too, when everybody was clamoring for bottled water.
if you saw the filters on my RO unit, you would not claim that the municipal water is the same as bottled water (Ozarka is my water of choice). Before I hooked up a filter to the ice maker in my frig, the ice cubes were yellow. and we recycle every single plastic bottle we have so that isnt an issue either. What comes even handier, is the 55G tank I have for storing RO water, betweeen that tank and the 5 five gallon bottles I have for various aquarium uses, we had water out the wazoo during Ike.
