What this game shows me is that Boston is not going to win the NBA championship. Who ever comes out of the West is going to beat them.

if n.o. somehow manages to come out the west and faces boston, boston can close the series in 6. but a lakers-celts finals will be david stern's wildest dream ever.

I always felt that the closest player to a go to guy for the Celtics was Pierce but he did much better than I expected. I didn't think he could go past 30 points. 41 in a Game 7 is just fantastic even if Cleveland is a one man team. My respect for his game has increased. It will be very interesting how he does against Detroit.

Not so fast. IF Boston get by Detroit, I would not bet against them. Boston has been inconsistent in the playoffs, but they still are the best defensive team, had by far the best record, and have home court.

I really think the Det-Bos winner is going to take care of whomever. I think SA is their greatest threat match-up wise--though hopefully they can be dumped today.

I like how Doc lets everyone play. He uses a lot of bench players and has faith in them. Eddie House, James Posey, and PJ Brown finishing off game 7 shows that. I think Tony Allen should have gotten a little PT at the end of the 3rd for Pierce but other than that Doc coached well and his players made him look good also.
