Absolutely, that was extremely brave of him to go into the blast site(s) and help save the civilians/runners that were injured by the bombs. He and all the others that will never have their names shared deserve to be commended for the remarkable job they did to save the people they did, with no other reason than to save a life. I would hope that if I were put in the same position I would react that same heroic way.
I didn't realize he was the one in the picture with the guy in the wheelchair. That picture will probably be burned into my head forever. It's kind of crazy, but that picture is incredible. I'd like to see a story on where that man in the wheelchair is in a year. That said, I apologize if I offended anyone with my earlier comments about singling just him out. I didn't mean to. I didn't realize he was in that picture, and hadn't really watched the video of him talking. Good for him for all he did. Good for all of those people that ran into the horror. As I said before, This could have been much worse had there not been as many ably trained people there so quickly, or as many not so ably trained, but willing people there.
saw a report from his father earlier- the guy in the wheelchair had both legs amputated, and had some additional surgery for fluid in his abdomen.
