Great move by the coach to take Wesley out and put Mac on Davis. Bad move to leave Yao during a defensive spot with 5 fouls. At this point Deke who is a better rebounder and shot blocker per capita would have made more sense. Luckily it did not cost.

As per Mac stoping Davis, I will give Mac a lot of the credit. Davis was becoming unstopable at that point and something had to be done. Even though Mac was not necessarily close to him when he released the shot I am sure that the thought of being guarded by Mac and mac's reach was in the mind of Davis because he did not release the shot the same way he released it against Wesley. Bottomline is that the desired defensive stop came after mac switched to Davis.

Is Davis the guy who tried to score on the wrong basket to get a triple-double some time ago?

He tried to bounce the ball off the opposing team's hoop so that he could get up to ten rebounds. Didn't work, though.
