I read a street and smiths mag a while ago and i looked at the article on the rockets and they say that we are gonna suck. Our overall rating was like a 70, and our draft grade was a 78 or 79. Man we don't get any love. They said other than francis, our team is 1 of the most untalented teams in the nba.

On a good note the said Nachbar would suprise a lot of people and that he will earn a starting role on our team if rice is still trippin (playing bad). They also said Nachabr will be a future nba star.

Sounds like Nachbar is a great player. I knew he was good, but after reading so many things about him this guy is looking better and better.

Nachbar and Griffin are the 2 rockets i'm am dieing to see in action this next season. It used to be Yao, and Francis.

    He spells his name:

    Bostjan Nachbar

    :D

quick...you have 5 minutes to edit that title so people won't laugh at your spelling again.

Stevie?? you responded to me instead of fixing the title???

here's how you fix a title:

hit this icon above your post,

    <img src="http://65.57.229.29/bbs_images/edit_bbs.gif">

this brings up the edit post page. You will see your title in a grey window. It is editable for 5 minutes. You can also edit your posts for unlimited minutes, but after five a message will appear that you did edit.

btw: I'm really excited about Nach and Griff, too, but more excited about Yao.

btw btw: I'm a terrible typer in an unfixable way. Somehow my fingers type anything that is a phonetic equivalent to what my brain wants. I feel your pane.

Is Bostjan gonna be ready for the preseason opener on October 8? I know he had surgery this summer so I hope he will be ready to play. I cant wait to see what he can do.

Nachbar played on the same Euro team as the Nuggets number 5 pick this year, Nick.... Tschtic..... (Nickoloz Tskitishvili) whatever. Anyway Nick couldn't get any playing time because he was behind our own Bostjan Nachbar.

Those stats seem ridiculously low for a guy who was touted as highly as he was...was he hurt last season?

Thats true, he barely got off the bench, but only because he is so young.

The Euros are really old school. You earn your playing time, and you earn it, in large part, via seniority. So the young guys rarely play that much in Euro ball, or that's just what I know of it.

I think it's laughable that any publication thinks that lowly of the talent level on this team.

I only hope you save that article and mail it back to them after we make the playoffs.

skita was drafted on pure potential and glimpses of what he can do. his numbers are nothing but apparently he's talented.

I did a lot of research on Nachbar when I found out we might draft him and everything I found was good. I think he could be the best player in the draft. IMHO

I saw the Street and Smith magazine. I never have liked the format or the articles. I flipped straight to the information about the Rockets and just put it back on the rack. Basically, Yao's not gonna be very good, the team's gonna blow, etc etc.

TSN's NBA magazine is pretty good. The one I'm waiting for is 2002-03 Fantasy Basketball, something like that; the same publisher just released their 2002-03 Fantasy Hockey, so maybe the NBA one will be out soon. It's expensive-ish; $10; but it's very well done.

And I hope Noki is as good as we all think he'll be. Which he should be.
