    Why?

Firstly, what in the world would make Luis want that? "Ok Luis get this, we'll trade you to Toronto, who is almost assuredly going to suck for the next 3 years...you know...whats left of your prime...but, BUT, we get Chris Bosh! Think about how awesome that would be!....for us"

Secondly, why don't you want a PF combo of Luis and Bosh? When the matchups are right we can let Bosh and Scola log minutes at the C. Bosh will still get his 36 and Scola will still get 30-32 most nights.

I'd hate to see Luis go, but would probably be worth it for Bosh. However, I would not want to give up Luis AND Brooks for Bosh.

    I hope that doesn't happen.

I chose Battier only because of his contract along with Jeffries

The truth is that we have no idea at what level Yao will be when he returns so it would be worthwhile to keep Scola and add Bosh.

I think Luis should be a starter, and we need a mix of young and old...so I would keep Hill as a backup over Luis.....as I think Toronto would want Luis because they could get near Bosh production for half the price.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Luis values being on a contending team more than he does getting the extra 5-6 minutes a starter would get.

You do know that Luis has to agree to a S&T to Toronto right?

i'd be surprised if Scola agreed to a sign and trade. However, Toronto would be interested I think, not more so than Jordan Hill though. If Scola goes, you probably need to include another young prospect, which probably would end up as Chase Budinger. I'm not totally sold on that idea.

Currently the only reasonable offer Toronto 'may' go for and that the Rockets dont get gutted by that has been suggested is JJ, SB, JH 2 picks - you could put in JT too if you so pleased. If this trade would go down, I would hope like hell that Shane Battier would get bought out and resigned by HOU. I would hate to have him leave just as we are becoming title contenders.

    Scola definitely has options.
Option 1. Not trade stay with Houston and reup with brand new big money

Option 2. Go over seasons and get paid just as much or more

Option 3. Accept a sing and trade and play with the french foreign legion of Barnanni, Hedo, Scola, Calderon, etc... Scola would bring these softies some needed toughness.

if, Big IF we trade Scola, they must accept JJ, and Shane plus 2 1st picks and that's it.

I hope we don't lose Scola of Battier or Lowry or Martin. The rest of them may be expendable.
