hahaha, yeah he really wants to come to houston, hes just trying to get them to bring their asking price down. get over it, put the crack pipe down, he knew all along he was not coming here and was just going to use us to leverage himself.

Wow... talk about sour grapes. So, he went to Miami to play with one of the best players in the league. It sucks, but we'll be fine this season guys. Mr. Yao Ming will be returning, Stacy's gone, Brooks comes in with another season under his belt, we get a full season with Martin, a very promising young rookie in PP is stepping in, Scola will be back, Bud and Hill are back with a full season under their belts, and I could go on... There's also a lot of FA's still on the table.

Doods, It's July 7th and all the sports talk in the nation is about the NBA. The FA chase is raising the profile of the entire league, raising the value of all the franchises. As a marketing plan this is a huge success.

You just have another day or two of the big climax followed by a couple of days of minor signings; then it's back to posting about the funny way the Summer commentators pronounce Eeliyahooooo.

It may be theater of the absurd, but it hugely more entertaining than the usual Summers around here.

Actually, just having Bud, Taylor, Patterson and Hill in the Summer league is more exciting than we usually get in July. We should dominate!

Personally, I think 127 million/6 years for a guy who has only led a team to the playoffs 1 time in 5 years is way too high.

    Bosh isn't that good.

Bosh isn't a player you can build a championship team around. He's more of a "Gasol" type complimentary piece.

Yeah, I could see that. We saw Gasol was a pretty damn important piece on the back to back champs though.

Yeah, and he'll be complementing Wade, who is a guy that you build a championship team around.

The funniest thing is if you look at it he follows Wade around like a lost puppy. I'm pretty sure he's Wade's b****

I agree. Gasol is very important. Just not 127 million dollars over 6 years important.

Now that it appears Bosh is signing with Miami I feel somewhat relieved. I was worried that we would lose Scola and now that Bosh is out of the picture I feel confident we will resign Luis, who I feel is a better all around player than Bosh. Now let's try for a back-up big man and win ourselves a championship!

    Yup.

This entire FA circus has been overhyped, overrated, and overexposed.

I'll be glad to be rid of it.
